Guess this will have to do.

Didn't get blown away last night.

I'll see what it looks like out in the world in a bit when I take Aaron to school.

Happy hump day!

Cheap door. I'll admit it when asked.

The plastic covering blew off my new garage base, I hope they can still pour the slab today. On the way to work there were trees down, and lights out.

It's supposed to rain today. We'll see. I've seen the biggest, blackest clouds in the sky and not a drop of rain falls. We've had a wetter than average year so far so maybe it will actually rain.

Lily - I ended up making a bechamel sauce for the chicken and stirred in some kale. DH loved it. One of our friends came over for dinner and turned his nose up at it. Fine by me. The leftovers made a yummy lunch. This particular friend tends to only like kiddie foods and rarely tries anything outside of his comfort zone. He did, however, inhale the Frito Pie. DH, surprisingly, concentrated on the chicken and veggies even though he was jonesing for Frito Pie. I made asparagus and green beans for sides.

I've heard of it, but never had it.

Funny what ends up being eaten.

Yes, it did!  And my brush is all cleared, too - he did the other side today!  It's a bit of a mess, but much easier to deal with now.  I need to get out there with some vinegar and a hoe.

Does vinegar really kill weeds? And if so, how small do they need to be? Does it work on ivy? What kind of vinegar do you use? So many questions I have.

 Awww.

The girl I work with who was pregnant with twins carried them until 37 weeks!  Boy 8lbs and girl 6lbs.  I couldn't believe she went full term!

It does, but won't kill the ivy.  And you should mix it with blue Dawn and Epsom salts.

If I killed my weeds I'd have nothing green left, lol.
Just did my taxes. Holy cow I got a big refund! It's actually enough for a new roof! Or something cool, lol. I got a huge credit for all the money I coughed up for my dental work.

Vinegar will kill weeds.  But you cannot use it near your lawn because it will kill everything.  Add dishsoap and it will work better b/c it will cling to the leaves better.

Your soil will recover quickly if you just use vinegar, and you can replant.

However, if you want nothing to ever, ever, ever grow there again, dissolve a cup of salt in a gallon of vinegar and spray that.  It will kill everything dead it touches and nothing will grow back there.  Good for cement cracks, etc.

No salt if you want to replant in that spot someday.

I need to do my ditches with salt and vinegar.

1 gallon Apple Cider Vinegar
2 cups Epson salt
1/4 cup Dawn dish soap

This is the recipe for natural weed killer. We use it on all the cracks in the sidewalks and the paved driveway. Works great, but the weeds do come back the next year.

Blue dawn. Not sure why the blue stuff but that is what is listed in the recipe.
