It's is a dismal day. Raining and snowing.  My errands are done and I was planning on going to a "made in NH" home type show but temps are expected to drop and so worried about icy conditions.  So, stuck at home now.  cleaning Etc.  BORING!  Entertain me, please?

Hi!

I would send you some sunshine if I could!

Jesse and my dad left about 5 this morning for a day of water lines. Dad has about a 1000 feet to dig, install, connect and cover before the rain sets in this evening. Should be a nice chunk of change for Jesse.

He learned to drive dad's work truck, it's a straight shift on the column.

He is also learning how to use the equipment.

Caitlyn is doing hair for a wedding party today. All day job.

I made a cake, it's cooling.

Trying to straighten up the house a bit.

Aaron is helping me with the things I can't do.

I'm also watching a weird movie on tv.

Did that entertain you for a bit?

IKWTDS ~
Set a timer for 10 minutes. Work in ONE part
of ONE room until the timer goes off.
Get a drink of water.
Now reset the timer, and work in another part
of another room.
You'll be amazed at how much you can do in
only ten minutes!

You'll get it done!

Ok so that is inspiration. Now if you were just here to chat while I work, that would help. smile

How about I send you a really good mac & cheese
recipe - you can try it out later!

BAKED MACARONI IN FOUR CHEESES – a la Momala
8 oz. large elbow macaroni 1/2 cup each (grated):
mozzarella, cheddar, Swiss & Romano or Parmesan 1
stick butter, melted Cook macaroni til barely tender;
drain, saving ½ cup pasta water. Toss 4 cheeses; add
cooked macaroni & toss. Put pasta in buttered baking
dish. Mix butter & hot water together; pour over pasta.
Sprinkle with additional Romano/Parmesan. Bake 15
minutes in a 400 degree oven.

Yummmmmm

Waiting for my progeny to arrive home. Getting some board time in before getting some chores done.

DS will be happy to discover that his bubble gun is full and ready to go. I'll have to charge his tablet at some point so it will be ready for him.

I'm planning this year's easter baskets.

They don't get big stuff but I try to keep it different.

Have ya'll seen those portable chargers for phones, or other devices I guess.

They hold about 2-4 recharges and it is rechargeable itself.

I'm getting the kids one each for easter.

Might get myself one, too.

I try to stay away from pasta, but will keep that recipe for DD, spent 20 minutes in my bedroom putting laundry away and going into my safes to put my will and my mother's in the safe.  Grr on one safe that I can't seem to open.  And started cleaning out my linen closet.  Thanks Moma for the inspiration.  The precip has changed to all snow. no

The actual easter baskets were discarded years ago.

I just get a little $1 gift bag and fill it now.

I have one. Mine holds 2 charges.

It's pretty convenient.

DS likes buckets so I figure I'll get a big bucket and fill it with toys and candy he likes. Probably will throw in one of the big chocolate bunnies.

I've already bought the eggs for Easter. The stores around here jack up the prices for Easter (and any holiday that tends to use a lot of eggs) so I bought them early. I still have to buy a dye kit but that's easy enough. Time for DS to have multicolored fingers again!

Jesse bought one a few weeks ago, it came in handy the other night when our power was out for almost 6 hours.

He says he'd like to have another one just to keep in the car.

I'm thinking that's smart for all of us.

Feeling a little lazy today. Changed bed sheets, cleaned out fridge, gone to the grocery store and now watching a movie under a afghan drinking green tea. Will get up soon to start cooking the chicken for chicken and dumplings. A perfect rainy day.

2 weeks until the big day! I am nervous but all my vows are ready and that was the scary part for me.

I'm still trying to figure out what to feed the vegans who are coming...My caterer really doesn't seem to know what vegan means...

I'm very glad to see you!  I was beginning to wonder about you.  Only 2 weeks?  You must be crazy busy.

How many vegans?

Vette...grilled veggies. Portobello mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes, brussel sprouts on skewers. My best friend is vegan and she loves that. Maybe some grilled eggplant too...and asparagus sautéed in garlic. Brush with olive oil and grill...

Now i want grilled veggies...

I've had quite the day! I went to a Longaberger auction today. My friend is really into Longaberger and asked me to come with her. This was my first real auction and it was so much fun. I got caught up in the excitement and bought more than I probably should have (but not more than I can afford 😀), but some of it was sold in lots. So I can sell the pieces that I don't want and recoup some of it.

The auction took so long though. Seriously, we were there for over 5 hours! Neither of us thought it would take that long. So by the end we were both starving, we hit Olive Garden on the way home.

It was good to have some BFF time. We haven't had much time together in months. She hurt her leg and has been pretty much home bound since January. It felt so good the have some BFF retail therapy, it was exactly what I was in need of.

Oh, and it was 75 and sunny here today

We are taking a Mexican cruise but not until November. Thanks for the tip ohfour! Three will be grilled veggies but I didn't think of putting them on skewers that's neat
