"To make hominy, field corn (maize) grain is dried, then treated by soaking and cooking the mature (hard) grain in a dilute solution of lye (which canbe produced from water and wood ash) or of slaked lime (calcium hydroxide, i.e. from lime (material) as in limestone, not from lime (fruit)). The soaked maize is washed."
It's organic.

I dislike tremendously kale, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower; but I can eat them and will if they are served to me at a formal dinner or something, just to be polite.
The only thing I refuse to eat is the giblets - organ meats. Nope. Can't. Don't know if it's the taste, the texture, some psychosomatic thing, or a combination of two or all three of those things.
Both my great grandpas was a whole buffalo type of guys.
When he slaughtered something, the only thing that didn't get eaten was the squeal.
Brains, tongue, all organs, was used in some way.
The hide was dried, treated, tanned and turned into all kinds of things.
Whatever was slaughtered was completely used.
Now, I never tried the scrambled brains, and that was never an issue.
But other things were used and often you didn't realize what you were eating.

Please, No thank you on organ meats, sweetbreads, rocky mountain oysters, mussels, clams, oysters, eel, octopus, squid and scrapple.
I will eat most meats with no problem. Seafood I am picky with but I am still trying some new to me things.
Beans are a mixed bag. I like kidney.
Most vegetables that I hated as a child, I am finding different ways to cook and I like them not boiled to death. Not a fan of cantalope or honeydew melons.
I loved raisins as a child but I don't care for them now. But I guess I should try them again to be sure.
There are a lot of foods I cannot eat unless they are prepared properly. Food just tastes more bitter to me unless that bitterness is somehow tempered.

Have you ever tried craisins? You might like those.
Popcorn. Hate the fake buttery smell. DS loves it and knows how to make it in the microwave.
If I eat popcorn, I like it plain with a sprinkling of some sort of seasoning. No salt. No butter.
I couldn't agree more! I love popcorn! But, i don't want a lot of crap on it! Just salt and either no butter or very light butter. I don't like microwave popcorn. Movie theater popcorn is awesome but dd always wants to drown it with the fake butter liquid crap! NO!

I think I'm the only person in the world who hates cheese - any and all. It stinks to me and I can't eat anything that stinks!
I eat like a toddler. Hamburgers, chicken tenders, spaghetti are my faves...I've been that way since birth! My mother says I've NEVER eaten vegetables and fruits...she tried when it was time to start me on food as a baby but I would never eat any of it.

You're not the only person who hates cheese - I do too. I only know one other person who hates it. So now there are three of us in the world!!!
