We are having continuous weather alerts about
the storm that is headed our way. The storm
chasers are experiencing dime size hail, and very
strong winds. Hasn't hit our house yet, but will
within the hour. DH convinced me to cancel
going to church - hail and straight line winds of
up to 70 mph in that area.

I've got candles in the kitchen, hallway, and
living rooms, ready for when the power gets
knocked out.

See ya later!

The hail woke me up around 2am., I think. It was small, pea sized. Thank goodness.

Now it's just raining, which we need.

I hope the storm won't be too bad, Momala.

Fingers crossed!

Well, the thunder has arrived - strong enough to
rattle the windows. Some rain, but no hail - yet.

Woke up about an hour ago. G is at church. Said Inwas sleeping so peacefully that he couldn't bring himself to wake me up. I must have been because I never even heard him get out of bed, shower, and get dressed.
Now I'm watching Bar Rescue and washing clothes. I love the smell of bleach...

Today's tale from DG'e vacation:

We go to Denny's for lunch. We are waiting to be seated. Finally my sister flags someone down and asks if we can be seated. The employee (manager I figure out later) looks at the empty hostess stand and says she'll be right back. She comes back and says, well, she just walked out and quit. Let me find some menues.

I'm kind of disappointed. A couple years ago we helped a single mom at Christmastime. We stayed in touch. At the time she had two kids by two men and got no child support. Just found out she's pregnant with number three by number three and of course not married to him either.

I remember that NJN. I remember you helped her a lot. That is disappointing.

But the big question is did your meal come when everyone else's did?

We seem to have dodged the bullet - lots of thunder, about
1" of rain, and no damage from the wind. Thank you, good
Geeks, for all your thoughts.

I remember that, too.

It's a shame.

Surprisingly yes. She had 5 plates, so I assumed mine was missing. It was my brother-in-law this time. But only because she couldn't carry it all.

 Wait.

Denny's?

You're in Gatlinburg.

Tomorrow, for breakfast try Log Cabin Pancake House.

It's a good breakfast, way more than just pancakes, and good prices.

It's on the corner of Historic Nature Trail and Belle Aire Lane.

Ya'll should check out the Smokey mtn brewery.

No.  The big question is, you are in Gatlinburg and went to DENNY'S??????
