I have a confession.

I don't care for sweet tea, myself.

I like hot tea on occasion, and I'll drink sweet tea if that's my best choice, but I'd rather have coke or water.

I hate sweet tea.  I only drink unsweet tea.

Glad to know I'm not the only one, ladies!  Sweet tea, to me, is like drinking liquid sugar... wait, that's what it is! biggrin

I totally agree. I hate sweet tea, too, and that's saying a lot from me since I like sweet but sweet tea is waaaay too sweet.

Let me say this, I don't have a problem with the sweetness of sweet tea, that's something easily adjusted.

I just prefer coke or water.

And my question is how can you drink tea WITH sugar. They gave me sweet tea at Zaxby's one day and I took a huge swig and had to spit it out! It was terrible!

I grew up putting sugar in my coffee and tea.

I broke that habit when I was 19, or so.

Now, I can't stand sweet tea if I get it by mistake.

Nope. No sugar in tea in the North. And usually it is only available in the summer - we would drink sun tea.

See now that is another thing. I taste absolutely NO difference between regular ice tea and tea that was brewed in the sun.

Mom puts nearly 2 cups of sugar in a gallon of tea.

I put between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup in a gallon.

My coffee or hot tea gets 2 teaspoons.

I like sugar in my tea, but a fraction of what is in sweet tea. I get half-cut at McDonalds. And that's good, but more sugar than I require.

Or capitalizing the first letter of a name.  That's just grammar 101.  I learned that when I was, oooohhh, about 3...
