has been known(though not so publicly)since 2004 that sadam's/iraq's WMD had been previously moved and stored in underground tunnels beneath a couple of towns in northern syria

why we(or for that matter the israelis)have not acted to destroy them remains somewhat of a mystery--even though would be considered a hostile act vis a vis international law, could certainly be justified before the UN if necessary

the $64 dollar question--out of 60 missiles launched only 20 some odd struck the target--granted, they were fired from ships at a rather considerable distance but still, at $500k apiece or so, would have expected more significant results/damage

in addition to the strike itself, learned a sobering lesson about the accuracy/reliability of our weapons

the navy is saying 1 splash offshore and the rest impacted the target--onsite/area observers are saying in the low 20s--still some speculation as to the total

I'd bet all missiles hit their targets. Some spotters just didn't count what looked like "secondary explosions" that were really impacts as such. That's just a guess though.

If they didn't hit their targets, where are the missing missiles, where did they hit? There are no reports of missiles hitting any other place, other than the various locations on the airbase.

Ok, so I am assuming everyone here does know that Obama DID bomb Syria extensively, right?
Forget the exact numbers, but I do know that in 20q6 alone he dropped more than 10,000 bombs in an effort to combat Assad's regime.

And you do know that this particular bombing of Trump killed four of those 'beautiful babies' he was so sad about, right?

And you must know that literally HOURS after these bombs were dropped, Assad used a chemical weapon on a different part of his country, fatalities unknown?

This was an attack against a government airbase, something Obama never did. Obama wouldn't act against the Syrian government.

However, that creates it's own issues that nobody in government seems to care about in the moment. Congress needs to ratify this immediately.

don't believe it would matter who was in the whitehouse at the time--the point of the attack was to notify assad by the use of force that the use of chemical weapons(particularly against innocent non-combatants)will not be tolerated and if they are used will provoke a swift response from the US as the leader of the free world/and the West

politicians have been making hay out of circumstances since the beginning of time(and will probably do so forever)--what trump did was speak for you and me(and all americans) that we will not allow the use of chemical weapons--listen to some of the survivor's thanks/appreciation if you doubt the rightness of what he did--we ARE the leader of the free world and when chemical/biological weapons are used(particularly against innocents)we WILL respond and swiftly
