And it just shows that law enforcement CAN be wrong. Look - I respect our military and police officers - they have a tough job. But they also need to use common sense and common decency and not be tyrannical.

He had his gun pointed at me. He told me to come off the deck. It was pitch dark, only his flashlight. He made me come down the steps, with my hands laced behind my head...15 steps. I have a bad foot. I told him that and he said "I will not ask again". I started down the steps, missed one and faceplanted. Lost both front teeth.
Right, I remember that. Horrible! I hope they found the right house. I'd hate to think of the poor victim whose call went unanswered.
Trust me...I hoped so too. But they tore out after searching my house and saw me pouring blood from my mouth. I have no doubt they didn't investigate further. That's part of the lawsuit.
They should have at least called the paramedics for you...

My point and well-said. And exactly why I support body cams on every single law enforcement officer. It makes both the officers and the citizens more polite and would avoid so many problems. Not THIS particular problem, but many others.
AMERICAN AIRLINES VIDEO THE BLOW BY BLOW 3.6K 1,883 4/22/2017 2:50 PM PDT EXCLUSIVE
BEDLAM ONBOARD The mother of twins who was allegedly struck by a stroller by an American Airlines flight attendant tried fitting the double wide buggy on the narrow plane after being asked to leave it off ... TMZ has learned. We're told the woman had the stroller tagged by employees at gate check-in and was asked to leave it at the bottom of the jet bridge before boarding the flight so it could be stored underneath the plane. Our sources say the woman tried to get the double wide stroller inside the narrow plane and employees attempted to remove it. We're told in removing the stroller, the woman was struck while holding her baby ... and nearly ignited a brawl between the employee and another passenger. American suspended the employee while they investigate and has apologized for the incident, saying, "We are deeply sorry for the pain we have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident." The mother and her children were upgraded to first class on a later flight home to Argentina.
Ok not sure how I feel about this latest incident on American Airlines. The mother tried to get a double stroller on boards even after knowing she had to gate check it. While she should not have been assaulted, I wonder if the attendant tried to take the stroller away and the mother may have held on to it or even tried to get it away from the attendant.

I saw the video of her sobbing and a male passenger threaten an AA employee....that was uncalled for and the AA employee acted inappropriately as well. However, the sobbing woman kept asking for her stroller....on the plane, which is not allowed. If I had been a passenger, I would be pist at that woman for holding up the plane. She was hysterical and wouldn't sit down until she got her damned stroller. The only pass I would give her was if her child was still strapped into that stroller. Otherwise, STFU and sit down with your children!

I agree with all of this. The video's we see do not necessarily tell the whole story. we only see what the person taking the video tapes. And what event prompted the video taker to decide to video tape? I wonder how much this mother was arguing with the attendant before hand.

I wonder how long it will take until the airlines start giving statements like 'we're sorry that this happened, but the passenger was being an f'in pain in the a$$ and wouldn't do what they were asked to do for the safety reasons we had already explained five times - which put all passengers at risk - and refused to get off the damn plane when that was the only other options available. Film all you like. We'll call the air marshals and you can all spend the night in jail.'
I've seen people who speak English pretend they don't understand when they are told they have to check a large bag. They think they will be let through by staff just to speed things up.
Years ago I worked with a girl who was studying to become a flight attendant. She had to learn 5 languages. My guess is they don't require this anymore. No hablo ingles? Comprobar su bolsa!!!!! Llegar a su siento!!!!! Pronto!
Callate la boca, burro!!!!

My former neighbor was like this. I could hear her all day long talking loudly in English, but when confronted about letting her dogs running loose she would pretend she didn't speak English.

I had to interview a witness who claimed she didn't speak English. I had my secretary translate. My secretary asked her if she wanted a cup of coffee. She said si, and my secretary went to get one for her. Out of earshot from my secretary, she asked for sugar (in Spanish). I yelled "add sugar, please." The witness said (in English), "you speak Spanish?" I said, "You speak English?" Awkward (for her).
They all become fluent in English when you start talking about docking pay when they are late or not doing their job.

Ya know, I really distrust folks speaking another language in front of me. I always suspect they are saying something mean about me or to me. It would be the singular reason for me to learn spanish.

I'm multilingual. It's FUN to see the look on someone's face when they're talking about you and find out you understood everything.
Like Elaine on Sienfeld, I want to know what my pedicurists are saying....then maybe I don't lol!
LOL I thought the same thing. She brought in George's father who knew Korean, and he translated for a bit but then realized one of the employees was his long lost love!!

And they are getting sued for more mistreatment. A woman paid $1600 and 60,000 miles AT THE AIRPORT to be upgraded to business class, and right before departure was moved to a crappy economy seat at the back of the plane with no explanation, and only offered $750 in a travel voucher as compensation.
What the hell is wrong with that airline?

And now they have killed a healthy rabbit destined to be the next world's largest.
Scandal-hit United Airlines is facing a new PR disaster — after a valuable giant rabbit died mysteriously on one of its planes.
Three-foot Simon, destined to be the world’s biggest bunny, died in the cargo section of a Boeing 767 after flying out of Heathrow to a new celebrity owner in the US.
Breeder Annette Edwards, of Stoulton, Worcs, said: “He was fit as a fiddle. I’ve sent rabbits round the world, nothing like this happened.” United’s reputation is at rock bottom after film of a doctor being dragged from a jet went viral.
Edwards, 65, said 3ft Simon, expected to grow to be the world’s biggest rabbit, and was healthy when placed in the cargo hold.
But Simon, heading to a new celebrity owner in the US, was found dead after the Boeing 767-300 landed at O’Hare — the airport where a doctor was violently dragged off a UA plane.
Annette said: “Simon had a vet’s check-up three hours before the flight and was fit as a fiddle.
“Something very strange has happened and I want to know what. I’ve sent rabbits all around the world and nothing like this has happened before."
Annette, of Stoulton, Worcs, added: “The client who bought Simon is very famous. He’s upset.”
United Airlines is still reeling from the global outrage after security guards were filmed violently dragging Dr Dao, 69, off an overbooked flight at O’Hare two weeks ago.
He refused to give up his seat and suffered a broken nose, concussion and lost two teeth when removed.
An airport source said news of Simon’s demise sparked a panic among UA staff, adding: “After the viral video no-one wanted responsibility for killing what was to be the world’s biggest rabbit.”
The airline now faces a legal claim from the Simon’s new owner and former Playboy model Annette, who once had plastic surgery to look like cartoon character Jessica Rabbit.
Simon, a continental giant rabbit, was 10 months old. He was on track to out-grow 4ft 4in dad Darius, the world’s biggest rabbit.
Continental giants cost £5,000 a year to keep. Annette’s rabbits are hired out at £500 a time.
United Airlines said: “We are reviewing this matter.”
