If I bump something, or get a shot, I apply pressure for about 5 minutes and don't bruise. I learned that from a phlebotomist when I was undergoing IVF.
Two days before Caitlyn's 2 birthday, she took the express route down the stairs, face first.
She scraped her face on all 4 brick steps.
She had scratches from just inside her hairline, across her eye, and down her cheek to her chin.
5 of them.
She also followed her pawpaw around and anything he was doing, she was doing.
Between climbing trees and riding motorcycles, she constantly bruised.
Heck, her first high school dance, she had a splint on her ankle where she turned it playing volleyball.
Funny thing is, my first high school dance, I had a splint on my ankle because I had turned it marching.

DH got his 2 lower wisdom teeth extracted today. He's loaded up on soup, popsicles, pudding, and jello. He's not thrilled to have to stick to soft foods but oh well. I'll make him a batch of mashed potatoes that he can munch on too.
Awe!! Poor little guy, I bet that scared you to death.
Yes and no. He's a walking bruise and I've gotten desensitized to his injuries. He knows one speed - run. Doesn't have a care in the world either. I did, however, want to cry looking at his sweet little face at the height of the swelling. He was rather proud of the goose egg though. Showed it me when I picked him up from childcare.
Chef DS was like that. The bruises and such! You have to become desensitized just to be able to be logical in treating them.
This is my thought too. A lot of injuries look a lot worse than they really are.

Oh gosh, make him follow dentist orders.
He does not want a dry socket.
I had one after my wisdom teeth where removed.
Worst pain in my life! Worse than giving birth!

He's properly scared of getting a dry socket. He's very happy getting a steady supply of popsicles though.
I got a dry socket when I had my lower wisdom teeth removed many, many years ago. Back labor rivaled that pain but I'm not sure which was worse.
