Just talked to dad, mom is sleeping, they gave her something pretty potent for the nausea.
She is hooked up to the monitors, receiving an IV and they are running tests, they are talking about keeping her overnight to monitor her.
So as of now, she is resting but we don't know what is causing the problem.

Just got an e-mail from the Church - I don't have
to do the flowers for the funeral of the husband of
one of our Bell ringers. Don't know whether to be
relieved or insulted. I normally do the flowers for
the altar every week - but for something special
like a funeral, the "powers that be" went to a local
florist. With a budget of $75-100, I could have
done a really fantastic job. I only have $25 to
work with every week. Wonder how much they
paid to the "real" florist.
Well, I figure you should be disappointed as you normally do the flowers. But, maybe there is some other reason they used the florist this time.
BTW, long ago I know that it was possible to make a contribution to the Altar Committee (or whatever the name was at the church) and have flowers placed on the altar on Sunday in memory of some member of the Congregation that had passed away (recently or long ago). This was printed in the "Bulletin" which gave other news, as well as order of service. Is this still practiced? Or a thing of the past? (I know that the bells are no longer tolled when a person's funeral is ended - one toll for each year of life).
So mom has been admitted to the hospital for tonight.
Dad called me while they were getting her settled.
She got some more meds for nausea and is still getting fluids.
But dad said she isn't throwing up, so that's improvement.

OK, now to monitor her through the night. I am sure the staff will keep a close eye on her. Glad the throwing up has stopped....
Always hoping for the less serious cause, I wonder if she could have eaten something which was a little "off" as we used to say. Would explain, vomiting, dizziness, etc. Or perhaps a lack of salt?
Thinking good thoughts for her and sending prayers.
She has been on that shibboleth diet, and has been eating well, she has lost a great deal of weight, and has been able to come off all her medication except the blood pressure med.
At first, I was thinking she needed a lower dose because she has lost so much weight.
But it seems there is something else going on and they just haven't found it yet.
Tomorrow they are going to do an MRI and possibly a heart cath.
That's all we know right now.
I'm really thankful she didn't break something when she passed out and fell.
