A new fad has come into town ladies! It is called a Chrome Powder for the nails and I LOVE IT!!!!! (singsong)

Here is the green/purple that I just had done. You cant see the green in the purple very well cuz my camera sucks, but it is astounding!

It is from the Aora Chrome nails line, and this particular color is labeled A1

I had to call several salons to find out if they had the chrome powder and not all of them have it. I hope to get the rose colored chrome someday, but right now my salon doesnt have that color.

Amazon sells the polish, but it's pricey!

Is it polish or powder? I'm seeing both.

It is powder that you rub on, and then put a clear coat over the top of it to keep it on. Otherwise it rinses off with water.

I've been wanting to get these but curious.

Do they get hard like acrylic?

Or are they like gel?

Do they grind the top layer off the nail before applying?

And how long do they last?

Something pewter. All of my jewelry is white gold or silver so I need to match that. I wear a lot of jewelry...

It is put on top of acrylic or solar nails. It lasts as long as you dont pic at them. Like regular nail polish. :D

Yes, it IS powder. You rub it on your nails and then put the clear coat polish over the top of it. If you watch the video, it shows the steps and the colors in that particular box.

 

The layers are as follows:

Acrylic nails (my salon does "solar" nails but I dont understand the difference)

Clear coat bottom layer

Black polish layer

Chrome powder

Clear Coat Top layer

I think they put it on acrylics so that the surface is uber smooth. Cuz this will accentuate any flaws in the surface. To be honest, you should see if a local salon has it and see if they will put it on your nails. It is just a couple layers of polish and powder on your nails. Couldnt hurt. AND I get compliments every time I am out and about.

I've been getting powder nails for a couple of years now, just not the chrome. They put the powder right on my nails. I wonder why this is different...

HAHAHA!!! My face and lips are a shambles, but my crime fighting nails are ON POINT! HAHAHA!!!

By the way, the shape of them are called "coffin". It is half way between square and pointed.
