The most iconic superheroine in comic book history finally has her own movie, and what better way to celebrate than with an all-female screening?
Apologies, gentlemen, but we’re embracing our girl power and saying “No Guys Allowed” for one special night at the Alamo Ritz. And when we say “People Who Identify As Women Only,” we mean it. Everyone working at this screening -- venue staff, projectionist, and culinary team -- will be female.
So lasso your geeky girlfriends together and grab your tickets to this celebration of one of the most enduring and inspiring characters ever created.

So many women have tried to break the "men's only" establishment, only now to try and start a "women's only" one? I don't think so. You don't get to have it both ways. Of course, I read the "those that identify as women" - so the guys should just dress up in drag and go.

You know there is no way a men only screening of anything would be ok.

There are three of those "only" that would cause law suits.

Nothing wrong with an All Girls night out. However, there is nothing wrong with a Men's night either. There is nothing wrong with all girls' schools or all men's schools and teams as well. The problem is the feminists only want it to apply one way and not the other.

Exactly.

If women want to do this type of stuff, why make a big production of it? Why not just do it and be done with it? This "in your face" type of crap is ridiculous.
To be clear, this only took place at one theater and is not a result of those promoting the movie.

Exclusion based on gender is either acceptable or it's not. Women can't be "we want or deserve a women's only showing" of something if they would take issue with men deciding "we want a men's only showing" of something.
Would anyone care to guess what the reaction would have been by women that support this if some theater would have had a "Men Only" showing of, X-Men or some other film, even if only for the one showing as this "Women Only" one was?
I can hear it now: "Oh no they DIDN'T!", "How DARE they exclude women!", et cetera.
