I think they will get to come home today. I can't wait!
I feel a little better after getting a nights sleep. I have to bake a birthday cake for Paul. (His birthday is tomorrow, but he has to work...so we are celebrating a day early.)
The boys have to make things to sell at an economics fair. #1 wanted pet rocks. 25 of them. He wanted them painted. So I painted them according to his specs, and they are drying, waiting for him to decorate. #2 wanted stress balls. So after several prototypes, I came up with the perfect one for him to duplicate. over and over. His teacher told me 50. NFW. He's getting 20-30 to make.
The secret to a perfect stressball is to blow up the balloon first, stretching it out and making it more pliable, before adding flour. (Oobleck worked, too, but I liked the feel of the flour better). Who knew. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to spoiler this. The best one is the last one, furthest on the right.
Still fighting a low grade fever, but I just got some food in me. Let's hope it stays.
Saw the baby, FWM. She is beautiful!

I had some spur of the moment ambition last night and rented a Rug Doctor to use today. I just vacuumed the whole house and am now cursing my choices last night, lol. Anyone wanna come clean carpets for me?
Well, I went to have blood drawn today for glucose and cholestoral. I'm not worried about the glucose but the cholestoral could be an issue. It was 35+ years ago. I'm sure it's not gotten any better with age. hahaha I had to fast this morning and couldn't have my OJ and coffee. Thankfully, my appt was one of the earliest so I perked the coffee and took it along. The anticipation made it taste all that much better! Ahhhhhhh
After that, I went for a slow drive and then stopped at the local SS office. I wanted to see where I stand and how it all works since I'll be 62 in a year and thinking of retiring then rather than full retirement age of 66. I was a bit surprised at the low difference between doing it at 62 and waiting. It's only $200 a month difference in waiting four years. Plus, one can still work and earn up to $16,900 and not lose any benefits. At 65, one can earn almost $45K and after 66, one can earn unlimited income. Seems like a no brainer to me since I plan to still work something part-time to keep me sane! As much as I'd like not to and spend my days traveling, I'm not financially secure enough to do that, unfortunately. I wasn't a good planner and never really earned a lot when I was working full-time. c'est la vie
I just want to say that I love this board and everyone on it, even though I know some of you think I'm an immature drama queen, I'm okay with that! Because this is my home!

I don't think that. You are the bones of this board. Can you handle that?

The bones? That's funny because a lady at work today said I looked like I was putting on weight.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with being immature or a drama queen occasionally. We've all done it and if not, we should!
*stomps foot* I'm not touching you! Neener neener!

Isn't that what newly married women do?
But I doubt it is true.
