While I understand the sarcastic nature of that comment, I actually agree with it.

Don't shoot me though until you hear me out.

By "better" I mean "more reasonable than what we have now", I don't mean "more useless garbage that only makes things worse like the anti-gun lobby wants".

Better would be things like:
Mandatory carry (by at least one family member)
Open carry (and people taking advantage of it)
No right to refuse service to Carriers (none of the "You are welcome in our establishment, but your firearms are not" dis-allowances)
