A slow start to the day for me. Waiting for the coffee to finish brewing. Then, it's off to get the oil changed in the Jeep and perhaps a bit of shopping. Not sure what the day will bring. They called me to come in to work yesterday but I ignored the call. hahaha I've always told them Sundays are my day, don't call but they do anyway.
Have to go back to the store and get more
cucumbers to make bread and butter pickles -
we sold ten of the jars in one day! Plus we
sold all of my pickled okra. Last two days of
selling this week. Plus DH invited friends for
dinner tomorrow - have to get some shrimps
out of the freezer and cook and chill them.
Morning All! So far, a quiet day here. DH is still sleeping since he was still awake when the sun came up. Ugh, I have to stop giving in to his night owl tendencies. I will be needing a nap later.
I made the decision to only take one class this coming term which starts today. I am taking the class I failed so I want to be able to concentrate on it. It pushes graduation back two months but as long as that means graduation, it is only two months.
We need to finish putting together the new grill. It was missing one screw but it was an important one. We picked it up last night and will finish it after DH wakes up. That means t-bone steak, baked potato, grilled asparagus, grilled french onions, and maybe something else.
We caught that possum. Now to find a place to let it go, far, far away from here.

Good luck on your class this semester and your meal sounds delicious!
Secretary Price gave us two hours early dismissal!
I found bear skat on my front walk. Lots of it. I hope he doesn't decide to take a dip.
Yay, Price!
Someone in your neighborhood is leaving easy to find food out.

Just make some possum stew.
No. No, no, no, no.
Turns out it has babies, too.

Yes. The babies were in there, too. They were nursing. Didn't see them this morning when I let Monster out. It wasn't light enough yet.
Mom and Aaron have taken them to the country.

So, my tenant moved out on Friday. She left a MESS. She was supposed to have her move out inspection at 6. She called me at 1 and said she was tired and done, and to use her security deposit to clean it out. Good grief, I had to order a dumpster! She left behind so much crap. And some of it was family photos, brand new baby clothes, tons of stuff! I texted her and asked her if she wanted to come back and she said no - she'd learn to live without it. So, I've hired some people to come and throw everything out, and then they have to clean the filth she left behind. Ugg. I'm selling that sucker on Friday. I'll spend her deposit to clean it, and then be done with that house. The new owner is a flipper that is going to replace all the floors, paint, fix everything, etc. so I don't have to do it.

That stinks LL. I don't think I ever want to be a landlord. The home next to me is a rental. Every time a tenant moves out they spend months fixing it.
LL ~ that sounds like a win-win situation! Can
the people who clean it out give all the baby
clothes to a woman's shelter? They are always
in urgent need of children's clothing. At least
this will be one less headache for you.
Well, that sucks big time, LL. Sorry you have to deal with it all. Selling's probably the best thing.
I agree, momala. I would want to see anything that's usable go to a women's shelter or donated somewhere. I hope it all just doesn't get dumped in a landfill.

I'm giving the baby clothes to my other tenant that just took in a foster baby - he's a preemie infant.

I've given her free reign to take or donate what she pleases. But, seriously - unless it's new in a bag or box, it's nasty.

Already the 4th over here. We celebrated with a Pizza for lunch. LOL Kim from North Korea celebrated by shooting off another missile. I love Trump's tweet : Doesn't this guy have anything better to do. Both of us got a good laugh out of that. Trump may be on to a good thing here - Seems Kim is very touchy and does not like to be made fun of or ridiculed in any way. Go get 'em Mr. President!!
LL, sorry about all the headache you house is causing - well, actually the former tenant. That is one reason I would never want to get involved in renting to another person.
