I don't get it either but from the posts so far I would guess that we are all connected through friends, relatives, etc. in some way to a lot (or all) other people.
If you name one person then connect them to another person who you can connect to another person and so on. They (they...lol) say any two people can be connect by only 6 degrees of separation (or connection).

Oh now THAT would be cool. But it would also involve offering our real names on this board as well as all our relatives and friends. I was too free with my real info on the last board, and I picked up a stalker. So no thanks! lol!
Example: Doctor McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy to Me. I dated a d-list actor once who appeared on Grey's Anatomy. So I am only 1 degree away from most of the cast.
Example: Rod Stewart - My college boyfriends dad was in a band with him when they were super young. So, that's 2 degrees.
It can be a fun game.
Some of the board members and me: I think one of the people on here and I may have shared a parent company at one point. Which means we probably know someone in common....
It's like this. Six degrees of separation between Joe Schmoe and Jane Delane. Joe works at Starbucks with Mary. Mary's aunt Edith goes to Mass at St. Peters with Kevgin who buys his cars from Stella who works out at Bob's gym with Janes dog trainer Heather. Jane is connected back to Joe by Heather, Bob, Stella, Kevin, Aunt Edith, and Mary.
