Good morning! Hope your appointment goes well ikwtd! Sitting I got the airport waiting to go home, my 5yr old dgd cried her little heart out when she found out I was leaving 😥 It about broke my heart.
Lindley, Oh how I don't miss those days when the Grands were littler and would cry when I'd leave or they had to leave to go home after a wonderful summer together. It always broke my heart. Although now, I miss having them spend the summers with me. They're older (teens) and Nanny just isn't as important. LOL Enjoy it now! It is hard to say goodbye to them.
It's a pretty nice start to the day here. We had rain, from heavy downpours to freakin heavy downpours, for over 12 hours yesterday. Not much lightning and thunder though. Not sure what the day will hold for me but I'm off work today so . . . I'll figure something out. maybe laundry!
My eruptions/cysts are so bad the doc is putting me on dioxicillian for a month. Guess I will be covered from head to toe for the beach vacation. I have to totally cover up from the sun.

Besides getting DD13 back, we spent the weekend purging Jojo's room. We got rid of a ton of toys - anything Frozen, Disney Princess, etc. had to go, also purged stuffed animals, and all remaining baby toys.

So is jo-jo no longer a frozen fan? She is joining my team!

She has outgrown Frozen. She still likes the movie, but does not feel the need to have Frozen stuff.

What area do you live in, Forever? We seem to have the same weather patterns. I'm near DC.
Poor child!
IKWTDS, I hope your complexion clears up!
Aww, another phase in Jojo's life comes to an end.
We moved furniture this weekend. #2 chose the larger guest room and #1 chose the smaller one. Their old, joint room is now the guest room. #1 had separation anxiety the first night but last night he slept fine. Both seem to be happy with their choices. I shopped on-line for decor yesterday. I will need to paint #2's room now. He chose a pixel printed bedspread in grays, black & a splash of red. Not sure what color I will go with on walls. Trudy???

Lindley, poor baby. She loves her grandma and will miss you.
IKWTDS, hope the medication helps! DH is allergic to that stuff. Hope you have better luck with that med than he did.
We survived the huge family reunion! We all had a blast. It was so well organized and the food was fantastic. We had steak for breakfast! :) Prime rib for Saturday evening supper. Pulled pork for lunch. Grill burgers, brats and hot dogs on Friday night. Another breakfast Sunday morning before church and all kinds of activities.
We had six trolleys that held 25 passengers for the tours of the homesteads. The morning was cloudy and cool, thankfully, and no one fell off or got bounced off the trolleys. We did get pelted with mud though. It was a wonderful event. Everyone seemed to like the stories about the moonshiners and outlaws the best. Even the squatter's grave drew a great deal of interest. DH and I were the only two who knew about it, but they were sure fascinated by the story.
All kinds of games and activities for the kids, including swimming, a coin dig, horse shoes, and a prairie village for the kids to explore and milking stools for the kids to try and balance. Disco music and karaoke after the Saturday evening meal and program.
We had 170 family members in attendance at one point. What an amazing time we had.
Church was full of just family yesterday morning and many had already left to travel the long trail back home.
I doubt if DH or I will be alive in 25 years for the 150th reunion, but we are sure glad we were here for this one.
Now to rest and do laundry!

FNW, I'm in NEPA. Let's say about an hour west of A'town. I'm a big fan of gray! So much goes with it.
My brother is a little bit more west than you are. He is along the Susquehanna River in Northumberland County. This was by his house. Hope you are better off than he is.
That flood pic reminds me of this I saw on FB last week. It read something about not caring who built the drain, but wanting to know who built that great fence/wall!

Yikes! Nope haven't seen flooding here yet. The Schuylkill is staying within it's banks as is the Lehigh from what I know. I hope your bro didn't suffer any damage or loss of personal property.
Czech, I sure wish I could. I'll go out on the porch and do some sort of rain dance to hopefully send it your way! lol I honestly don't recall a rainier Spring / Summer here.
Thanks for the rain dance, FS! I will join you in dancing. ;)
We are dry here, but not a sever drought. The crops have received timely rains and heavy dews this summer. The heat has been intense, but the nights are cool. It is an unusual summer for us too.
The crops look good. The pastures, not so good. Grass is short this year.
I have mowed the lawn once since mid June. Yup, we are dry.
We had our first hint of fall this morning. I stepped outside and the air had that unmistakable hint of crispness to it. Now that is a bit early, but only by about a week and a half.
Kids start back to school in three weeks, so I guess it is time for the feeling of fall to start. (need that shocked face here)

I see dried leaves on the road and on lawns. That is typical this time of year. The weeds have done awesome this year but so has my lawn.

FS, we could use a little rain dance our way, glad you had a great time czech, have fun Ikwtd, hope you all escape the flood. Going to face time with my grandgirls. Back home right now.
Finally back from the Dr. and pharmacy. Woke up
Friday with a horrifically stiff neck - couldn't turn
it at all to the right. Therefore, I couldn't drive my
new car home from the dealership - DH had to do
it for me - lucky man! Tylenol & gentle heat
helped a little, but not much. DH delivered the flowers
to the church - I was awol. When I woke up today, I
had to have help getting out of bed - the tiniest change
in position sent screaming spasms up and down my
spine. DH called the Dr, and she squeezed me in this
afternoon. Muscle relaxers, pain relief, and some
diuretic to relieve swelling in my legs & ankles. Plus
she's concerned about the blisters that have taken
over my toes. DH and I couldn't figure out what was
biting me - there's a hot weather bug called a blister
bug, but we couldn't see the bite marks, just the
blisters. She sent a culture to be analyzed.
So. Confined to sofa with my feet up, wrapped in
TED (compression) stockings, doing gentle neck
exercises every half hour. DH is taking care of me
wonderfully - he's a worry-wart when I'm sick.

Oh my gosh, Momala!
I hope it's nothing serious, and that you'll be feeling better soon.
(I don't want to scare you about the spine thing, but when L3 and 4 ruptured...I could hardly move. I hope that didn't happen to you.)
(((Momala))) I hope you feel better soon. So, what is this "blister bug"? I've never heard of this thing. I hope it's not serious and that it's not poisonous.

Keep us posted, please.
Momala, have you cleaned the shower, in bare feet, with a new cleaner?
I got Kaboomed, years ago. I ended up with chemical burns, that took three months to heal.
My feet were a mess. It was a couple of months, before I could wear shoes.
Wow, Momala - I hope you get better soon! When you first said stiff neck, my mind went straight to meningitis. But if that was Friday, you'd be dead by now and not able to post, so that's obviously not it! Yay!

Dr. said it was muscle spasms, not spinal. I
took 1/2 of a spasm tablet, and it seems to
be helping slightly. I'll take the other half
when I retire tonight.
No new products in the house - same ol' soap
(no change in their formulation), no change in
laundry products, so we've kind of eliminated
that possibility. I only wear flip-flops in the
bedroom, using them as slippers. At all other
times, I'm in socks & sneakers, or stockings
and closed-toe shoes.
A blister bug bites if disturbed - the host rarely
feels it, but the immediate effect is a LARGE
blister, very high, and very hard. I had never
heard of it before. We'll see what the culture
says when I go back in a week.
So, I applied for this new job right? But our honeymoon is coming up in November. Is it douchey to wait until I potentially have the job before I confess I'll need a week off, or should I spill the beans right now during the application process (or the interview?)

I hate that word.
I would explain the situation, and be up front about your honeymoon, Vette.
I think they would work around your honeymoon.
(I don't know for sure. But ,I don't think you can go wrong, by being honest.)
If they say, "no".
You need to think about what is more important. The job, or the honeymoon.
