Ok, so today I decided to take my kids' gummy vitamins because they were handy and I was out of mine. They are One a Day kids Hello Kitty gummies. They are GOOD. Like, candy eating good. I don't think they should be that good. I want more.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
So, I applied for this new job right? But our honeymoon is coming up in November. Is it douchey to wait until I potentially have the job before I confess I'll need a week off, or should I spill the beans right now during the application process (or the interview?)
I hate that word too!
Definitely tell during the interview. Most perspective employers, if they're hot to get you on their payroll, will totally understand a commitment such as a honeymoon and appreciate your honesty.
Vette, what is the interview process? Typically there are two interviews. The first is to weed out those that do not fit the job, during such an interview I wouldn't mention the vacation. But a follow on interview where you are getting into more of a negotiation phase, you ask about vacations and let them know you have one planned. That is a very typical discussion and potential employers are aware we all have a life outside work.

Phrase it not like a vacation, but rather "We have
non-refundable airfare and hotel booked for the
second week of Nov, so I will need to take time
off. How can I best cover my responsibilities
during this time?"
