I didn't even tell you my mouth drama last week. My dentist is selling the practice. The new dentist booked 3 procedures. Yeah, I cancelled them all yesterday.
Trudy, why did you cancel the dental procedures? I hate the dentist, so I really understand.
IKWTDS, sounds like a busy day for you. What are you remodeling?
It is 52 degrees this morning. The jeans have taken the place of capris! It will remain cool through the weekend. Brr!
DGD and I will be painting this afternoon. Finally, time to finish the spare bedroom upstairs! This has been a long process. Other comitements have killed our time for the painting. If it doesn't get done today and tomorrow, I'm going to just shut the door. :(

When I moved to the DC area I had a hard time finding a dentist I liked. They wanted to do all kinds of procedures....root canal, gum filling, bleh. My mouth is fine. So fine in fact, that when I moved to West Virginia the dentist took one look at my mouth and asked where I came from. Said he could tell I wasn't local, because my teeth were in great shape. I guess the locals teeth aren't? Anyway, the dentist I have now I have been going to for years. First time I saw her she cleaned them, did the whole 360 degree x-ray thing, said they looked good and to come back in 6 months. I told her what the others said and she said nah, you might need a filling replacement on one tooth but other than that, my gums were fine and go home.
About the time I got pregnant she did, too, and left the practice for a few years. I saw one of the other dentists and he was good, too. Little by little I had him replace my metal fillings with tooth colored fillings, but it was more cosmetic. I think there is one I still need to have done but I'm kind of over that phase. LOL She returned a few years ago and the only concern is she wants me to wear a mouth guard while I sleep because she thinks I'm grinding. I know I'll never wear it, so I haven't bothered.
I hear you on the painting project, czech. I still need to finish up the family room and do that brick wash I am planning. We did knock out #2's new room last weekend but with the weather warm/hot and the pool beckoning, I'd rather spend my free time in the water. After I do the family room I'll need to paint what is now the guest room but in the meantime, door will be closed.

Having my back door walled up since it leads into the laundry and 1/2 bath. This way I will have more room in the laundry. Also residing the back of the house. A few pieces of siding blew off in a wind storm so since it has to be replaced it is time to take the door out and start the laundry/bath remodel.

FNW I have to wear a mouth guard. Don't buy the pricey one from the dentist. Just get the mouth pieces from the store that the athletes wear. You boil water and mold them to your mouth.

The old Vet...he was filling in, for some of our regular Vets that are on vacation...told us that he's only seen melanoma, of the eye, once, in all his years.
He's got to be 75 years old...if he's a day.
I've got to believe, that Jack is okay. The freckle, is just, a freckle.
But, we will watch it, just to be safe.
Thank you for the good thoughts.
I want to believe, that this is nothing to worry about.
IKWTDS you must be using my guy. We finally agreed on a price for my deck and set a work date but it took forever! He cancelled so many times just to give me an estimate.
FWM, sending good thought for JD. I'm sure he will be fine.
IKWTDS, I would be pissed as well. Your time is worth something too.
End of a long day here. It's the county fair season here. We decided to get funnel cakes and they had turned the fryer off 10 minutes before we got there. DANG!!
A bowl of chocolate ice cream will have to get me through.
Oh, and that large glass of wine. ;)

Got home from fishing around 3:30, had to hit the grocery store - I'd ordered some special ivy for the bride's bouquet, which came in. I had also ordered some Belgian Endive, which the bonehead in the produce section never got in! And the twit didn't even have the common sense to call me and let me know that it wasn't coming in - I'd left my number just in case there was a problem. I'm usually one to write compliments in the surveys, but boy am I going to build this turkey a new one!
