The down side is that there is a flash
flood warning throughout the area -
turn around, don't drown!
The good thing is it started as a gentle
rain, which prepared the ground to be
able to absorb most of the water, with
less run-off than if it had started as a
gully-washer.
Raining here as well. A small but mighty storm came through around 5:30 am. #2's room is in the back of the house where you can hear rain better and it bothered him. And he made sure we knew about it. It's supposed to rain all day.
Just got through watching (live!) the rescue of a man
trapped on the top of his SUV at a low water crossing.
The San Antonio Fire Department did a FANTASTIC
job - keeping both the man and the rescuers safe.
Lots of evacuations in the San Antonio area.
Burns ~ are you and your lady safe?? Please check
in when you can.
It started raining around midnight, stopped around 6am. Still looks like the bottom could fall out again any moment.
Been cleaning up after the weekend.
Need to make some lists for the week.

Thanks, guys! I'll be a full-time teller at a local bank whose branch office I'll be in just opened in June. It is literally two minutes from home. At this point, it's not really busy and not a very active bank but that's okay. It's a job and it's full-time!!!
Congrats! My father was in banking for 30 years then went on to become a federal bank examiner, a job he loved. Have fun, you'll meet lots of interesting people!
