Got a call from the doctor yesterday regarding pre op lab work done. (my final surgery is next week on the 24th) She said my blood results show that I am slightly anemic. She thinks it is probably cuz there is an absorption issue where my intestines aren't absorbing the nutrients.
Ya think?
The general surgeon cut the supply of absorption by HALF by making the 'exit' in the small intestines area. There isnt enough plumbing for the food to travel thru for my body to absorb the nutrients.
OF COURSE THERE IS GOING TO BE AN ABSORPTION PROBLEM!
I swear, if this anemic issue delays my surgery, I am taking heads.
Red meat, dark leafy greens, sweet potatoes, that kind of thing, and cook in iron skillets and cookware as often as possible.
You can also get prenatal vitamins with iron over the counter, now. They break down and absorb easier.

Was on the cool side this morning. 51 degrees is brrr to me. Hope to hit 80 today. First day of sunshine here in over a week! We are wet, very wet.
Traveling to Minnesota tomorrow. Going to spend the weekend with my mother. First time I will be making the trip north since she moved up there. The five hour drive up will make for a full day.
Would have posted this sooner, but Sam was barfing in the corner.. darn it.

I really hope it clears up soon, I want to get in the pool one more time before we leave.

We all went to Mystic. Someone has not ever watched Mystic Pizza. On the Xmas list! Had a great meal. Two 12yos napping and the other two canoeing up the creek.

I'm sorry oh-four. I hate it when my husband goes away on a business trip too! The first couple of days isn't to bad, but by day 2 I'm ready for him to come home. Chic flicks and a bowl of popcorn helps me some.
