Still windy and raining after being blasted by Harvey.

Not going to venture out any time soon.

I heard another 3 days at least of the rain for you Moma. Glad you made it through. Is it safe to assume you still have power?

We had a nice time at the game yesterday. The weather was perfect, and our seats were in the shade. It was faith day, so there were choirs singing and the archbishop came out and blessed the game. 36,000 people in attendance. And the Nats won!

Stay safe everyone.

Glad to hear from you, Momala.

Hopefully Burns will check in soon.

Games are so much more enjoyable when the weather is nice and there is shade, glad you had fun, FNW.

Be safe on the road, FWM, give baby Cate a gentle squeeze for me!

Morning FS, SB, and IKWTDS.

Family reunion day for us. Made a roast and deviled eggs. Helped the most by staying under the radar. I kept the kitchen clean between the tornadoes that were mom. The only reason I go is for dad, it's his family.

Hope everyone has a good day.

So far, Harvey only took one panel of skirting
from our home. One of our rentals is a whole
nother story. A couple of months ago, renter
broke a window when he was on our riding lawn
mower. He said he would fix it. That is part of
normal rental upkeep for a house. This morning
he texted DH with a picture of the bathroom
ceiling all over the sink and tub. Well guess what
dummy? We'll get around to calling someone when
you pay your August rent, which was due on the first!

Our other rent house has a lot of shingles missing.
Hopefully there wasn't too much interior damage.
He's been out of work since 7/5/17, when he had
to have a stent and a pacemaker inserted, so he
too is behind on rent (July AND August).

It never rains but it pours.

I need a new deviled egg recipe, something different.  Tired of the ho hum.  DD and I both like them and they make a great after school snack for her.  I want to make some today.

Ouch on the rent!  But hopefully insurance will take care of the repairs.

Yikes! Hopefully the insurance will cover. At least you are safe!

Add a little srichacha to the egg mixture! Or dijon, for a kick. I mince some purple onions as well. And sweet pickles. Sprinkle with paprika. Can add minced celery, too. Or do what I did for St. Patty's day...add avocado. It's delicious!

I've been reading up on the avocado recipes, look interesting and I have avocados in the fridge.

Instead of yellow mustard, I add wasabi
(Japanese green mustard) along with some
dill pickle relish. I also sprinkle on some
paprika or chili powder for a little extra
kick. I keep the mayo to a minimum.

He is still unable to work? I went back to work about 2 weeks after my second heart attack and a stent.

Mom was cleared to go back to light duty about 2 weeks after her pace maker, and cleared completely after a month.

I understand being patient, but dont let yourself be used.

To give you an idea of the strength of the
wind, it picked up the 4x8 piece of tempered
glass from our wrought iron table on the back
porch, and dumped it 25 feet away! Fortunately,
it is still in one piece. We'll get a couple of friends
to help us move it back once Harvey decides it
wants to get out of our area.
