Yay! And I am off today although I do have some work to do. A telcon or two this morning. My afternoon will be for errands and more wood stacking. I know this is a holiday weekend so want to get chores done today and so enjoy the long weekend.

IKWTDS, I hope your work goes swiftly and your rest is long.
I have a list of errands myself today.
Take the trash off.
Take Aaron for his ID/learners, long story.
Walmart for necessities around the house.
Book room form mom's party.
Pick up invitations.
Get stamps.
Buy some groceries.
Swap insurance cards with Caitlyn, she picked up mine instead of hers.
Some where in all that, have lunch.
Been up since 5:30.
I'm going to need a nap.
Hopefully I get everything done and back home before the worst of the storms.
Happy Friday, ya'll!

She said someone got a hold of my card. Not a check. I look all the time to see if someone has attached anything to an ATM. She bets it was in a restaurant, they see tons that way.

Yeah, I don't use let anyone walk away with my card, whether credit or debit. There is no need for them to anyhow.

Sorry about your money, Trudy, I hope they sort it out quickly.
Lily, I"m tired just reading your list!
Hello everyone else!
Caterpillars have been devouring my hornbeam trees. The insecticide I have doesn't seem to phase them. I ordered a different kind, which targets the type of caterpillar it is, so hopefully we can get them killed before all my leaves are gone! Ugh.
Ordered 6 more trees which arrived so we'll need to get those in the ground.
The neighborhood party was rescheduled to Sunday which is DH's birthday....don't know if he'll mind going to that and we can celebrate his birthday on Sunday instead....not sure I want to rearrange my schedule, actually. We'll see.
Suddenly I have a lot of bees, regular honey like bees flying around my deck, there must be a nest somewhere or they are scouts looking for a new place to build a nest. Sigh. I don't want to kill them but I can't have them making it so we can't use the deck.

We are having a brutal heat wave and I have no A/C : ( I live near the beach, so normally no big deal, but wowzer. 100 degrees and 66% humidity. Kill me now.
And took the dog for a walk. Thankfully I did and at the time I did. My neighbor / friend's MIL live with them. She is 89. MIL walked up their driveway to put mail in the mail box. We were chatting as I walked up and she lost her footing and fell. No one heard me scream for help but her grandsons were walking down the street from the bus stop. One called 911 as the other took my dog and their dog into the house. I think she fractured her hip and she hit her head on the pavement but was able to answer questions from the paramedics with no problem so that is good.
I feel so badly for her. She was in pain.

I didn't finish everything on my list, gracious, I think everyone in our county was out in town today.
I also think every one of those people had a screaming, crying, fussing kid. Can't tell you how many "honey, that's not pretty, don't be ugly" remarks from moms who needed to pop bottoms.
The wind is amazing right now. It was throwing my van around every which way.
Can I have a juice box and a nap, now?

Gosh, that horrible. The docs will give her the good stuff and she'll be unaware for a day or three.
Mawmaw needed a rod in her hip/thigh when she broke hers.
But with the right therapy, she was back on her feet in 3 weeks.
Prayers for your neighbor.

See if you can follow them.
Or call your exterminater, sometimes the rehome honey bees.

The paramedics offered her pain meds and she refused. They told her when she gets to the hospital she will get them anyway so should have them now to relieve her, she still refused.

I've been trying to figure out where the nest is. All the exterminator will do is kill them. I don't want to kill them.

Mawmaw did, too. Until they started moving her for xrays.
She got a syringe full in her IV.
Out like a light.

Ask if they know someone who will move them.
Or find someone selling honey and ask them.
Raw honey, right from the comb..... mmmmmmmm....

Aaron and I were talking and I realized it's been 2 months since I had coke, and about 7 weeks since I've had stomach pain and burning.
I'm kinda proud of myself. ☆

So I discovered blood on my sleeve, it was the arm that I had under her head. I called my friend to let her know although I am sure the hospital gave her a thorough going over and found she was bleeding.
A bit amusing, when I discovered the blood I first thought "must take this off and through it in the washer" but then I thought, she is 89 and the chances she has any blood borne disease is fairly null. When I called my friend to let her know about the blood she first said don't worry about diseases! I chuckled and told her I had the same thought.
Thing is my plan was to head out and finish stacking the wood and didn't want to change. LOL as I type this. I did finish stacking the wood in the racks, wearing the bloody sweatshirt.
I still have about 1/3 cord of wood to stack somewhere.

Thanks FWM. I agree. Sometimes we are in the right place at the right time.

They may not, when my son was living in a apartment in Ca. Bee's to up residency in his bathroom vent. The office called in somebody to remove them without killing them. If they can't they may know someone who can. I wonder if a beekeeper will be able to help?
I'm glad you were there to help your neighbors mother. How scary for both you and her.

As suspected she has a broken hip and a concussion, hence the blood on my sleeve. So glad I was there when it happened and her grandchildren were too to help her.

Just got a call from the Ford dealership - could
DH and I come back in and re-sign the papers
(again!)? We've had the car for over a month,
and have over 2400 miles on it, and haven't
even made the first payment.
So we come back in, and talk with the finance
manager. Seems the credit union made a few
errors on the second set of papers we signed.
OK, so we're expecting our payments to go back
up, right? Wrong! They went down, again!
And because the credit union made the mistakes,
our first payment won't be due until the middle
of October! Happiness is!!!!!
