A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
It is good to see you back on the board burns.... Went to Church this morning and now thinking of going with my husband to Lowe's to get pesticide spray. Found a giant hornets nest on the side of our house. Need to kill them before little man comes over Wednesday.
So I managed to get all my running around done in between rains. Didn't get a drop on me! I went to the mall in search of white, collared, button-down blouses or polos. Didn't find a one. Well, that's not entirely true. I did find one, not 100% cotton, that was a stretch material and $60. Yeah, not happening. I really think it's unfair for a bank, or any company, to insist on a certain uniform and then not provide said uniform. Finding white shirts of any kind other than T-shirts is next to impossible, let alone coming in to the Fall / Winter season when dark colors are the norm. But, I searched and searched and searched. Ended up in the boys department and find one long sleeve polo, collared with the three buttons down at the neck. Snatched that up. Then went to the girls department and found two more, slightly more feminine polos, collared with three buttons. Snatched up those and went to the register. Total bill $19.99! Yep, that works for me. Considering the fact that retirement age for me is just around the corner, I'm not re-investing in a "business" wardrobe again.
Went to the one grocery store to get some fresh baked rolls for lunches, etc. Picked up a bunch of meats and fish. Got myself two filet mignons on sale. Woohoo! Then stopped at grocery store where I work PT. We have a thing going on now that if you're not offered the first slice of lunch meat to taste, that particular item is then free. Guess what? The deli guy did not offer it so I got it free! hahaha
So far, it's been a good day. I feel like I hit the jackpot! hahaha Apparently it doesn't take much for me any more.
ETA: Oh, I also found a cool pair of Tommy Hilfiger flip-flops that are red, white and blue, originally $30 for . . . $6!!! Yep, they came home with me!

Sitting in a chair in the mall with all the other credit card holders waiting for our kids to text us that we are needed at the cash register.
BTDT
I have to say DD is a good shopper. She found two pairs of jeans and 5 tops for the price I paid for one pair of jeans and a sweater for myself. Bring Autumn on so I can wear my to new outfit!

I am so going back to get that mask! I've had an awesome day, early start. I think the table I had made is so awesome that I am going to have that guy make me a new mantel.

So it is 5' long and 22 " high that measures up to the height of my picture window. Perfect for displaying my Christmas village. The finish on it is so tough I can have it outside and the elements will not affect it. Love it. I am thinking of having him make me a new mantel.
Wow! That is a beautiful slab of wood. It was cut from the tree I can tell. Looks like he cut off all the "live edge" though. My ex had made me one like that. It was kind of in the shape of a knife but not pointed at the end. Hard to describe. It was almost 6' long but it had the live edge to it (all the bark left on). It was soooo awesome. I ultimately gave it to DS and DIL for them to use as I ran out of room in my one apartment.
I'd have him make the mantel too. He does awesome work.
FS Need to do a geek meet up with you! I can pick up Trudy and come see you!
I would love that! But, if we're going to meet up at my place, we need to wait until I find another apartment. I truly hate this apartment. LOL But, we can certainly meet up some place!
Nope. I am in NH so it would be total drive, will get a hotel room.
Southern NH? I just moved back to PA about a year ago from Northern NH. It would be awesome to meet up with some of you gals. Woohoo!
yep, S NH should totally plan a long drive to you on the way to DS in OH.
Works for me. Plus, I wouldn't mind ever driving up your way. That was one of the best road trips ever driving up that way! Love it. The scenery is stunning, I think.

Hahaha I could do that! I love to drive and am always looking for places to take off to. I've never show shoe'd before but do ski. Man, southern NH got hammered with snow the two winters I spent in northern NH. I was so disappointed all the snow stayed south!
