My teenager is killing me. She's 13 and keeps outgrowing all her clothes! STOP!!!!!
Mine isn't even a teenager yet and has stopped growing
She has discovered my sock drawer and shoes. We have the same size foot.
I remember those days. Caitlyn, learned to love Capri pants and skirts for a while.
She stopped growing her Freshman year.
The boys on the other hand, well they are still growing.
Jesse is 6'2", Aaron is 6'5", they both grew an inch this last year.

Well, DD13 has J Lo's rump, and finding pants to fit her is becoming a nightmare.
Caitlyn does, too.
I would shop in ladies or misses, find the right fit, and tack up hem lines.
Caitlyn has a ba-donka-donk and she loves it. So we work around it.

I have everything done except for the day of prep.
On Saturday I'll pick up the cake, flowers, and balloons.
It should be pretty simple putting everything together.
Mom and Dad are leaving Sunday morning for Hershey Pennsylvania.

I'm going to take her to missy petites on Friday and try that.
Our problem isn't the length so much as the fact that her waist is small compared to her hips.

Find a good tailor. They are priceless.
Caitlyn wore a 4, but her butt was a 6.
So, I get it.
To fit the butt, things were too long.
Tacking at the waist, the hem, saved a lot of money.

No! She is so petit!
If she gets my boobs, we are in a LOT of trouble. She is now only an inch shorter than me.
Well at least if she gets your boobs she won't topple over since her butt will be a counter weight. And man! only an inch shorter? She grew a lot in 2 years.

Make sure they bring clothes for cooler weather. Highs will only be 70 and the lows should be in the 40s.
Thank you. I'll tell them.

Yep. She's a weed.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Well, my truck has joined DS in the infirmary. We got side-swiped on the way to Bible study. We're fine. Truck is fine. On the way home, my truck stalled out at a major intersection. I called the police first so I could get a cruiser behind me to protect me from traffic then called my insurance's tow service. I got to check 'being pushed by a police cruiser' off my bucket list even though it was never on it. Steering my truck without power steering was difficult but at least I got it to the side of the road.
I had two people pull up behind me and sit even though my flashers were on. The first sat behind me for a good 6 light cycles. The second one pulled up just ahead of the officer and the officer shooed them off.
A woman on the freeway. I had just completed a lane change and was watching my mirror because I still had two more lanes to cross to get in line for my exit. She clipped my back right fender with her front left fender. I saw her coming and knew she wasn't going to make it so I went to the left a little bit (not enough to leave the lane) and sped up a bit to try to avoid the collision. I'm just thankful I was able to keep my truck steady and not get pushed into another vehicle. Only a scratch on my truck. DS' car seat will need replaced. Not that I have a truck to put a car seat in anyway since it's in the infirmary.
I'm at the point where all I can do is laugh. 2017 has been kicking us since June. I'm excited to see what else is in store for us. Maybe I'll check a few more unlisted things off my bucket list.
Question for you or anyone who can give some advice. DH and I are using this time to pay off all debt and get a good amount in savings. We want to work with a mortgage officer to get in prime position for buying a home in spring of next year. Considering that my truck is 16 years old and we need a second car anyway, we're kicking around finding an inexpensive vehicle to buy. Would taking on an auto loan be a bad idea knowing that we will be applying for a home loan in about 7 months? By the time we apply for the home loan, the auto loan should be our only debt.

chef, my advice comes from a conservative type person. Not a banking expert.
I would hold off until after you close on the house, to take on an auto loan.
(If you've made it this long with one vehicle...try to hang in a few more months.)
If you owe more than a year of payments on the car, it will count against what you are able to borrow for the house. (This is how it used to be. Things may have changed.)
I'm sure some of our Geeks might have more up to date advice.

So usually not a good idea to take on more debt when going for a mortgage. BUT it depends on your debt to income ratio. It would be a good idea to consult your bank now to calculate what that ratio is now and what it would be if you bought a car. Doesn't matter if they are the entity you will use for a mortgage, just a good heading check.
BTW you guys are doing great!

I just want us to be in the best position when we do buy. Definitely don't want to misstep when it comes to a home loan. What all can the bank do without actually checking our credit? I know credit inquiries can hurt our score.
I have no experience with auto loans. I paid cash for my truck 16 years ago. Still have the amount imprinted on my memory too - $25,245.

chef, there are ways you can get an idea of what you can afford, without even talking to the bank.

Keep your total debt to income ratio around 38%. That is house payment, including property taxes and insurance, auto loan, minimum payments on credit cards, student loan payments. It doesn't include utilities, food, income taxes, etc.
So, if you have a combined gross monthly income of $5000, your monthly debt service should be no more than $1900.00 (38% of $5000). If your auto loan is about $400 a month, and you have no other debt, you'd be able to afford a $1500 house payment that includes taxes and insurance (and mortgage insurance if required).
If you have really good credit, they may let you go above that 38% limit, but then interest rates start going up, too.
