Ya know, back in the day, I don't really remember people becoming violent when they were stoned. But, then again, pot isn't what it used to be. Seems now a days it's laced with all kinds of crap!
That's what I was thinking, FS. Back in the day the only thing in danger after a good toke was the stash of snacks we had.

And to be perfectly honest, there are times I hurt so bad, I'd love a joint.
But I don't because 1. I don't want to be that example for my kids, 2. I can't afford it, and 3. It's illegal.

I think that any drug that alters your mind is going to have some effect on people. For some people alcohol makes them mellow or sleepy, etc. For some it makes them violent as well. I think the media is trying to paint some rosy picture about mj to serve their own agenda. And, I am not saying that people can't use it responsibly like alcohol. In reality it is probably no more dangerous than that and as a society we do accept adults have the right to use these things as part of being a free people, but also with some restrictions to protect society at large.
I've known people who smoked and were really laid back, and a couple of others that became raving and sometimes violent lunatics. When they came off the high, they "said they didn't remember anything" In one case I think he acted that way on purpose. It depends on the person.
