First time in 20 years I don't have to wear a scrub cap all day at work and I'm sporting Jack Nicholson hair. FML.

Bad hair day? No, no, no. It's natural hair day!

I cut mine off years ago. The cow licks make up my daily style.

It got a bit nippy early this morning. It was nice.

I turned my heat on today, and SOME people (hmhmm) are giving me grief about it. However, I realized how cold it was when I got naked to get in the shower, and I have a heater for a reason.

You don't get an award for refusing to turn your heater on. And if you wait until it's REALLY cold, what if it's broken? I like to make sure mine is in good working order and burn off that dust long before it's truly needed.

Turned the furnace on heat before we went to bed because we knew the temps would dip into the 30's. Whew!

If the A/C isn't on then the heater is on. My bath towels don't dry off unless something is running. I have a very damp bathroom with two fans but no windows and still.....

It's actually very pretty out now. Cool and sunny.

This is from our emergency management association, there is an earthquake drill planned for Thursday.

Can't you see people dropping to the ground all around town? The visual image is hilarious to me.

And they fired my department director. So glad I left for the day before that went down.

I turned our unit to heat and set it at 60.

Mom turned her unit to heat and set it at 70.

It should be raining in our dining room.

Hells bells!

I saw a turkey vulture, feeding on something, by the side of the road.

When I got closer, I saw what dinner was. (Stop reading right now, if you are as soft hearted as I am.)

Spoiler

Don't vultures eat road kill?  Meaning the dinner was already dead?

Yikes! Did people know that was going to happen? It's never pleasant to watch that happen.

Yes, they do, IKWTDS.

The kitty was probably, hit by a car.

And, the turkey vulture, was just doing what he does...eat the road kill.

It still made me sad.

I wish folks took better care of their cats/kittens.

If you live on a farm, or have acres of land...it's probably okay, to let them roam.

If you live in town...keep them inside.

Or, let them play in your backyard, if they can't jump the fence.

That's what we do, to try to keep our cats safe.

It just bummed me out.cry

Aw, FWM, sorry you had to see that. And sorry about your bad hair day SB!

I've been on hold now...wait for it...for 47 minutes with Princess Cruises trying to reach someone. I'm slightly getting into panic mode, our cruise is only 3 weeks away and their website is glitching when I try to check in!

Thanks Vette. It wasn't a happy sight, if you know what I mean.cry

Don't freak out about the cruise.

Try again, tomorrow.

It's three weeks away, right?

The glitch will probably be fixed soon. Please, stay calm.

Just an idea.

Fingers crossed, that the glitch will be fixed soon.smile

Mom and dad are going on a cruise this coming Summer. I'm not sure it's a great idea. Mom gets sick in the back seat of the car. Dad gets vertigo on elevators.

I recommend taking ginger supplements.  I get seasick watching a boat on the TV, but this stuff works wonders for me.

My first cruise I got so seasick, I couldn't leave the bed for the first two days. But Dramamine, ginger and the little wrist bracelets worked wonders. (I don't know which method actually worked, I did them all together)
