Morning everyone. Working from home this morning because I have a mid morning appointment. Worked out well. A large truck carrying scrap metal overturned near Boston and it cause a traffic nightmare for miles north of it and I didn't have to deal.

Ugh! I use to be able to clean this house from top to bottom in about 2 hours, now it takes all day. Then it takes a day to recover from the cleaning. It's so frustrating!

Learning this new job is frying my brain. Even though it's in the same department it's completely different than what I've been doing for the past 20 + years.

Been there. It will take 6 months to feel comfortable, a year to feel really confident. That is not a black mark on you, that just how it is learning a new job with different procedures and such. It is just a challenge to you because you knew your other job so well.

I work 9 hours a day any my total commute is about 3 hours. I don't want to spend my time having to clean, I want to enjoy my family life. On weekends I do a ton of deep cleaning and yard work.

All I was saying, it's how I relax. I remember coming home after working 12 hours and cleaning to get my brain to slow down.

I love living in a clean home, but I'm not able to do the deep cleaning it needs - can't vacuum, or mop, or sweep, or anything that requires bending/twisting. I'd love to find someone who will clean for me on a regular basis, $10/hour, plus take-home of lots of things we no longer need. Oh well.
I have to have a lot of help now. I try to do as much as I can but I generally pay for it dearly.
