I've never made it but I want to. I have some super thick chops and I want them to be really good.

OK. This is for pork chops in applesauce gravy.
You can add diced fresh apples to make it chunky.

PORK CHOPS IN APPLESAUCE GRAVY
4 thick pork chops 2t finely minced garlic 3T flour
1t salt 1/8t pepper ½t A-1 or Worcestershire ½C
boiling water 1C unsweetened applesauce 1t lemon
juice. Brown chops in well heated skillet-don’t add fat.
Arrange in 10x6 baking dish. Cook garlic in same skillet.
Add s/p, flour & meat sauce, blending thoroughly.
Add water, cook til thickened, stirring constantly.
Add applesauce & lemon & mix well. Pour over
chops, cover with foil, put in 425 oven 75 min til
tender.

If your chops are really really super thick, you can
slice a pocket in each one, add a peeled apple ring,
and proceed as above. The applesauce makes a
light brown sauce, and the garlic really kicks it up.
I use my cast iron skillet to get a nice brown crust
on all sides of the chops.
