its cold and rainy and dreary. Perfect day for a Halloween party! Finishing up decorating and preparations for neighbors party tonight. that should take pretty much my whole day.
Did normal Saturday morning stuff. Later we are going to move all the stepping stones (about 24 I think) from in front of the shed, put some dirt down where the ground has settled, add sand, power wash stones and put them back. I'm tired already.

It's been raining since around 2 am, a steady, soaking rain.
Had to turn the heat on.
It's a perfectly dreary day.

We are not doing pumpkins this year. We never have ToTers and Jesse and Aaron don't care anything about doing them.

Sent the guys out and finished painting the family room. Just the fireplace is left for the downstairs then I can move upstairs and paint the guest room. Then my bathroom. I'll probably get to the upstairs after the holidays.
Ran to the store for spaghetti, it's 46 but the real feel is 36. It's flippin cold. We have a freeze warning for Monday morning.
5, long, months til spring.

DD is dog sitting the cutest little girl in the hood. A 2 YO Corgi. The parents said just to come once or twice their house to feed her and take her out. But DD brought her down to our house. She loves coming to my house and Sonny is not possessive about his water dish or toys so no jealousy. Me and the dogs will have a fire tonight and watch christmas movies.

"Old Town Day" celebration for our tiny
little community. Parade (15 minutes!).
Bake Off (I won 1st and 2nd in cakes).
Then a Pipe and Drum group - they were
great! Then a group of 20 women and
men playing fabulous acoustic old time
country greats. They played from 12:00
until 5:00, with only a 10 minute break.
And they even gave a $54 donation!
(instead of being paid!!!!!)
We had the drawing for the raffle prizes
next - two of the people I sold tickets to
won prizes! And our recently retired
JP won 5 (yes five!) prizes!!!!! Well, he
should have, since he bought over $100
worth of tickets.
The finale to the day was a hypnotist! He
was absolutely FAN-TAB-U-LOUS!!!!!
He had 12 people from the audience on
stage, and the audience was in stitches
from the moment he started until two
hours later. Imagine ladies in their 60's
and 70's doing the moonwalk!
The one thing he advised at the beginning
was that no one with epilepsy volunteer to
be on stage with him. When I spoke with
him later, he said that hypnotism could
bring on an episode. I wasn't aware of
that.
One of the most heartwarming scenes was
when the hypnotist (H) told the subjects
to imagine everyone in the audience was
suddenly naked. One mature woman
whipped off her jacket and gave it to her
friend, and the youngest teen covered
his eyes. When H told him to uncover
his eyes, he did so, but immediately
turned around. When the H asked him
why he did that, he responded "I didn't
want them to be embarrassed". Great
parents of that young man!
I'm tired (well, exhausted really), but
I'm too wired to even try to go to bed.
Hope we did as well financially as we
did with fun.

Hahaha! Especailly that you think that Woodstock was not a protest. Woodstock was widely regarded as a pivotal moment in popular music history, as well as themajor turning point for the larger counterculture generation. You know, counterculture or anti-establishment equals protesting.
