I need all the energy I can muster this weekend. Good morning, everyone! Hope the day is shaping up to be all that and then some. Not a bad start to the day here. It's 56* with a high near 70*. There's a chance of rain this afternoon.
So, the movers came yesterday to check out the furniture and what I need moved. They're in!!! It's a father and son with a couple other workers to help out. The father insists he can get the sofa through the door. I think it'll go too if it's done just right. He said he'll give it one try and if it won't go, they'll get it out through the window. I'm so relieved I have someone now to get this done and don't have to worry about it and can say FU to my brothers!
I'm off today and the weekend. I'm hoping to get a lot more stuff moved in the next three days. I have two full closets to empty out and when I say full I mean overflowing full. And another closet that is slightly more than half full. Some of it is a bit heavy for me but I'll figure it out some how. I was thinking how nice it would be if I had a little red wagon to load things on and drag to the door of the new place. There's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the door. But, it's getting done and I can't wait. A week from tomorrow I'll be sleeping in the new place.

Sooo....I keep getting these reminders that Daylight Saving Time is this weekend. I'm like, no, it's not, it was LAST weekend.
G thought it was strange that all of the clocks had been set when we got home, but thought that the cat sitter had set them for us. I didn't even register that the clocks were correct. As I was driving home last night, I thought it odd that it looked the same time as last week, but just thought the jet lag and exhaustion was messing with me.
So, to be safe, I Googled. Turn out that Ireland changes a week before us. So I get to enjoy 2 fall backs!

He was a former co-worker from the early 90's. He was a very nice guy and a good friend, but for a few seconds one day I caught a glimpse of something very dark, and maintained an arm's length relationship with him. For many years he had a great life, then it began to spiral very quickly as his drug addiction increased and his lies caught up with him. He was killed last summer.

I've only been at work yesterday and today, but no. Since the time didn't change and the clocks didn't change, I've been fine...

I was a really quiet morning, thought the afternoon would be quiet until about an hour ago. The first responders and ambulance showed up at my neighbors. The guy has a myriad of health problems. I'll talk to the son later, when they know more.
