Don't know what your newspapers, etc. have said, but Ivana Trump (the daughter, not the first wife) arrived here on Nov 3 and addressed a conference on harassment of women in the workplace. She was warmly received.
Today (the 4th) she walked around Central Tokyo amongst a throng of delighted people, ranging from kids to oldies like me...
The overall impression that people here seem to have of her is that she is a terrific representative of the President and has a style, grace and aura that are really impressive. She leaves today and the President comes in tomorrow.
The daughter's name is Ivanka. I always get their names confused too. Our main stream news rips her and everyone else connected to Trump on a daily basis. She has class and elegance and is a kind hearted person as far as I can tell. Our news outlets are quickly spiraling down.

Actually her name is the exact same as her mother’s. I heard it explained once that it’s like the name Robert. When there is a Robert Jr, the Jr is called Robby.

Yep. It's a tradition in many slovakian countries that daughters get the same name as their mothers, too!
Funny story. One of my co-workers is from Hungary and her daughter has the same name. We were talking jury duty one day, and she complained that she constantly gets called for jury duty. In fact, she had just gotten a notice again while she was doing her 3 month stint on the grand jury! I just looked at her, and was like - your daughter is in college, does she still use your home address on her license? She'd been serving BOTH their jury duties. Hahahahaha!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
My husband and his friends were staying at Donald Trumps resort in Florida on their golf trip. They were eating at the restaurant there and both Ivanka and one of Trump's son's came up to all the tables including their's to ask them if everything is ok. My husband said they were very nice and professional.
Invanka is very pretty and poised. However, I didn't vote for her and her husband, I voted for Donald. If she wants to make policy, then let her run for office. I think some of her and Jared's advice has been off the mark.
