Can't anyone just pay for their own life's events?
Earlier in the week of of my friends from back home posted on Facebook about her missing niece. She is 17 and walked away from some type of rehab facility. She's a type 1 diabetic and hadn't taken her meds with her. It was on the local news there and everyone was looking for her. The next day friend's brother had a "help find Susie" gofundme page. For $10,000. These people have that kind of money, they just didn't want to use it. When I clicked to be nosey they had raised just over $200. The girl turned up a day after the gofundme was opened thank goodness.
I wouldn't call it socialism. You can choose to contribute or not. It's internet panhandling. With Socialism, the iron fist of the govt forcibly robs you of your money.
We (the Sutherland Springs Community
Association) opened a GoFundMe account
to accept donations for the victims of
Sunday's rampage. We also opened a
separate account under our auspices with
Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union
(RBFCU). So far, this account has received
over $2100, with lots more expected.
