I have a living room full of Christmas stuff in boxes and no desire to do a thing right now.

Happy Sunday.

I'm relaxing with a cold. Jack took the boys out to lunch.

Went out to breakfast. DD wants me to go get her annie mac and cheese. I told her she had to blow the leaves off the deck. She is being a PITA.

Whew, thanks, IKWTDS!

I'm glad you said PITA and not PETA. That's a whole other problem....

Is the Annie mac and cheese good? I've seen it but haven't tried it.

Good morning! We'll, it feels like it anyway. I've slept most of the day. It's cold and rain and perfect for sleeping.

What a day it was yesterday. I'm so appreciative that I had someone to help move me but they clearly are not experienced movers. What should've taken three or four hours at most and one trip, took 10 hours and three trips. They had no clue how to pack a truck. It was a father and two of his sons. The sons have mental disabilities so that didn't help. The father pretty much just directed the boys and didn't pitch in that much but did so when necessary. The sofa made it out no problem but the top of the hutch is still not all the way in the apartment. It's mostly glass and they were afraid of it flexing too much and cracking the glass if lifting it up over the banister so he plans to come early this week with a scissor lift and bring it over the balcony and through the double door there. I guess I need smaller stuff. lol Other than that, 85% of the stuff is in the new place. I still have the TVs to bring up and lots of odds and ends. There's also half the one closet but that won't take long. Oh and half the pantry.

We were going until after 11 last night. After taking the truck back and then heading to the old place because I forgot my phone charger, I stopped at one of the convenience stores for staples like milk, etc. It was 12:30 this morning when I finally got back to the new place. Stuff is scattered all over the place. 60% of the stuff is in the wrong rooms. lol But, the bedroom is pretty much set up. I was so tired last night I wasn't going to even make the bed. I was just going to crawl onto the bare mattress, pull up a cover and just die but I couldn't do it. I had to make it. lol I slept like a log but it took about half an hour to fall asleep. I didn't wake until about 8. I sure didn't want to get out of bed and face the day but up I got. I had to find my coffee pot and all the fixings for that. Thankfully I did. I haven't really done much today. I'm sore as can be and I think I'm getting a head cold.

I may nap a lot today! hahaha It's hard keeping my eyes open and the body just does NOT want to move. I really should've brought more of the pantry stuff up. I'm hungry / snacky and all of it is down there. *sigh* I'll make due though. The freezer's full so it's not like there isn't anything here to eat. Chicken Noodle soup is sounding pretty good right about now. And, now that I think about it, I didn't eat anything yesterday other than a couple of pretzels.

So, that's the short story of the move. I absolutely love this apartment. It is so bright and cheery and makes a huge difference in my mood. The fact that stuff is all over the place isn't even bothering me like it did at the old place. lol
