I can remember the days of defrosting freezers. Don't miss that at all!
We had a nice day. Ate around 3:30 pm, put the leftovers away and went to the nearby gardens to walk around and look at the Christmas lights and decorations, came home and cleaned up and sent leftovers home with the parents. It went pretty quickly as I ran a load in the dishwasher while we were gone and did another with the larger, hard to clean items (roasting pan, crockpot, etc.). Just had to hand wash the silver & Waterford, really.
Fun day, now SIL will be arriving later. I'm not doing anything special since she doesn't lift a finger to help. She usually comes with a list of places she wants us to take her to, but this time DH told her nope, she can play with the boys and help us decorate the Christmas tree. Surprisingly, she thought that was the perfect plan.

I saw that! I'm so happy ya'll all got together. All those sweet babies! I bet every sugar bowl was full!
The sugar bowl is what my kids called that space under their chin on their neck. It stuck.

Mary ~
To get more room in the fridge, don't forget
that you can use a cooler for a couple of days.
Also, if you make tossed salads, don't store
them in rigid containers. Instead, put them
in fresh white garbage bags with a couple of
paper towels, and you can "stuff" them in
all sorts of nooks and crannies in your fridge.

Sounds delicious!
And please let me know where you can get good charcuterie down there for the next time I visit Mom. I believe you live just a little north of her.
I love cheese. Our local specialty market and Publix has good gourmet cheese and meats.
I could eat that all of the time.
I ordered summer sausage from amazon. It’s called the carnivore club and we already tried the wild boar, it was so good! Next we try the duck lol
