Yes, I do. So, perhaps new rules need to be written qualifying usage of the card for singles, one child, two, three, young, old, etc.? A one-size fits all isn't acceptable, IMO. 

 It's already hard enough to enforce the regulations.  Sorry - but the taxpayers are already supplying the food stamps, they don't need to pay for more and more red tape to go with it.

There is a double standard.

 Because it's really not.  If you buy sandwich fixings for a week - that is WAAAAYYYY cheaper.  And food stamps are not supposed to be a one meal option.  

 

Damn.  Get free food and bitch it's not good enough.  This is why people get mad at welfare.

Well, aren't you lucky that you don't have to use the system at all. Ya know, no one is saying it's not good enough! That was never said. What is being said is that it's not fair that we can't use it for a hot meal out if we so choose to do so. So, because of the rules and guidelines, I guess it's not really "free food" is it. There are strings attached.

Wow LGS......... just Wow! The fact of the matter is, I am earning money, it's just not enough to cover normal living expenses. So, I have applied for food stamps and qualified. I receive NO cash assistance at all because not having underage children, I do NOT qualify for cash assistance. One can only get cash assistance if you have underage children. So, my initial reaction to your comment is to say F*** You! But, I won't.
