How much did you end up getting? We only got a couple inches. Barely enough to play in until late in the afternoon Saturday, then much of it melted yesterday. The boys still had fun rolling around in it and a boy up the street came over with his sled and they all tried to go down the hill. I made sugar cookies and decorated them Saturday. This weekend will be fudge to distribute to neighbors. I need to run out at lunchtime and pick up some stocking stuffers and gift cards for teachers. I have quite a few gifts that arrived yesterday I need to wrap, but other than that, I'm almost ready for Christmas. I have a box of cards I will address tonight.

I hope I'm not getting sick. G played Friday night, played a Christmas party Sat night. We were supposed to go to another party yesterday afternoon, but I could NOT get out of bed. I slept until 4:30 yesterday afternoon, went back to bed at 8:00. I feel like I have been hit by a truck. My whole body hurts...And I just want to sleep...

Ah, yes...no rest for the weary, huh?

I swear, my kids can't plan ahead for anything in the world.  WEEKS ago, DSD asked G and I to perform for her class's Christmas party on Friday.  He's going to sing, I'm going to do skits and crafts.

Last week, DD told me that Sweetness's  Christmas dance recital is Saturday.

YESTERDAY, I go an invitation to DS's baby shower THIS SATURDAY.

I just want to cry.  I love having a big family, but sheesh...that means missing out sometimes.  I cannot like that...crycrycry

Man I wish I could work from home! That is a luxury for sure.

It's not too bad here yet, our danger weather times don't happen until late Jan early Feb.

Your kids need to get together on family celebrations.  That is so unfair.

This is only going to get worse as they get older.  There will be parties, and events, etc.  You have to make some rules as to what trumps what.  You can either go by the first invite gets the yes, which would mean Sweetness' dance recital, or the event.  Quite frankly, with an invite as late as that on the shower, I'd send a gift and not go.  That was rude of your DS.  You already have plans.
