I just finished making pretzel turtles for my neighbors.

I just have to wait for them to cool, before putting them into tins.smile

Delivering them might have to wait until tomorrow.

We're having an all day rain here. Could get up to 3 inches.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

(Off to find my fins and goggles! LOL)wink

I finally addressed my cards, they are sitting on the end table. I missed the mailperson.

People may not get them before Christmas.

Jesse has requested banana bread, so going to make a loaf.

Aaron has been running a fever at night. It starts around 7 and goes up to 102.5, stays there for hours, even with ibuprofen and acetaminophen. It starts going down around 6 in the morning. I've never seen anything like it. Needless to say, neither of us are sleeping very well.

FWM, the pretzel turtles sound yummy, don't forget your water wings.

IKWTDS, unless it's something that just can not wait, let it go. Enjoy your vacation.

Hi Trudy and FNW.

That's odd, Lily.

No other symptoms? Just the fever?

I hope Aaron feels better soon!

Sitting feels sooooo good after this past weekend. DS' party was a success. He loved everything he got. Grandma got him one of those Dream Tents for his birthday and has been ensconced in it all morning. He's also already planned out his 5th birthday party. He wants a Mario party. Party planning is not something I care to think about right now.

We got him the Wobbly Worm game. It's worth the money and quite fun. I was surprised because a lot of games are gimmicks. But this one is really neat. DS is getting really good at it and quickly learned how to assemble and disassemble it.

My house cleaner is coming Thursday and once she leaves I am steam cleaning what few carpets I have left.  Prior to her getting here I need to de-clutter which will bring my stress level down.  Family descending here Saturday.

Ugh. My brother informed me another brother will pop in on me on Saturday. Oh, and he'll want a pot of meatballs. Really? I hate Christmas!

Sadly, mine are known and looked forward to. He actually will show up with a pot! I am not kidding. My brother said he'd give me Friday off to make them. You see how this isn't ending well?

I just found out I have to work on December 31st....a Sunday.....at 7 am. It’s annual physical inventory. I guess I don’t technically have to work, none of this is part of my job. But the controller has asked me to oversee the computer based transactions since both people in those jobs have been doing them less than a month. And being the nice person I am, I can’t just sit back and let them flounder and screw everything up.

Sounds like an interesting day for several geeks, lol. Meatballs, candy turtles, a fever, and extra work. But, hey, it's Anything Can Happen Tuesday! LOL

I got up at 5:00 and started the last of the grandchildren's quilts. Took time out to take DH to PT and I am ready to start the quilting part on that quilt I made this morning!

Yeah, it's been a rush. I am so stupid sometimes..

I completely over did it with the presents this year. I’m going to have to curb it next year. I am so excited to have the whole family for Christmas that I got carried away.

My sweet husband...the ones that have been to my house know that my living room is at the back of my house. Well, I was lamenting Sunday that our house didn't look as festive as the others in my subdivision because you can't see my tree from the road.
Well this evening, I pulled in and in a front window (dining room) was a tree with flashing lights. So my house now looks festive. I just sat in the driveway and looked and cried. Lord, I love that man!

Sunday evening he was a bit nauseous, his sinuses are draining, general aches.

Thankfully he the fever is staying around 99.1 tonight.

From the sounds of it, it's been a good day for everyone but poor Aaron. Hope he feels better.

I got some decorating done this morning and this afternoon, I ventured out to do some errands and grocery shopping. So, four hours and five stores later, I'm home and Christmas dinner is here waiting patiently for Monday. Just have one or two more things to pick up yet but nothing major. I was surprised that none of the stores were overly busy. Thank God.

I got home and made myself a Boarshead Sweet Slices ham sammie smothered in butter and onions on a freshly made kaiser roll. Soooooooooooo good! I'm settled in now trying to find something to watch on the tube.

DS, DIL and grands. I usually invite my brothers and their wives but they never show. Sad but . . .

Yep, that sammie was oh so scrumptious. It was late when I got home. I was going to stop for Chinese take out but I'm glad I didn't.

And DD hates me. Concert was fantastic tonight. I guess middle school is when the talent starts to come out. I made her leave near the end when the 8th grade chorus was starting which is why she hates me right now. We had agreed to leave after the jazz band but stayed through the swing chorus. And she still hates me.

Fun on the grands.  Chinese take out always seems like a good idea until your body has to digest it.  The boarshead was a much better choice.  Love Boarshead.

I have no problem with Chinese. I just wasn't in the mood to call it in and then double back for it. lol I love Boarshead too. Their Sweet Slices ham is just so much better than any other brand. It was on sale too at the deli. I got some of their garlic bologna too. I only get Boarshead when it's on sale. It's a bit expensive otherwise.

Boarshead is expensive but not loaded with water and such so lasts sooo much longer. A good quality purchase.
