All the gifts are wrapped at our house, finally! Gads, what a job. And, sadly, I used a lot of gift bags. Each grand has a huge bag that is filled with their presents plus a quilt. Since we are all traveling to DS's for Christmas, I thought that the huge gift bags would be a good idea for the kids to bring all their gifts back.
Have no clue what DD is doing to get all of her kids stuff back home. Santa is visiting in Omaha for her family. The logistics are mind boggling for her and her DH.
Chef, so glad your little guy is making so many memories with family. He will cherish those memories later in life.
I love this too.
My uncle took him out for Christmas shopping on Monday just the two of them. They're buddies. Uncle loves that DS will rough house with him. They chase each other across the house. Uncle will eventually dump him on the couch and sit on him and bounce. He'll get up after a few bounces and DS will hop up and give chase as Uncle runs for his room. It's so funny to watch!
What a great story and memory for y'all. You updated your avatar! What a cutie pie. I really can't believe how big he's getting and how time is just flying by. Wow!
Figured I'd put the pic of him in his 4nado shirt up. We'll take an official 4 year old pic on the 27th. Having a family celebration. Spoiled kid, lol!
I can't believe he's almost 4. He's probably about 42-44 inches now. We'll find out at his 4 year old appointment on the 28th. He's having a growth spurt, I've noticed. He was starting to fill out a bit but he's losing the filling. Tall kid!
I put a few gifts under the tree. If they are in bags, I have to staple them shut so the boys can't peek. They are bad!
I tape them shut. It's the dog I have to worry about. He has already nosed into two bags. Have to say he is being pretty good this year.
When my dd and family lived overseas and oldest was just 3 my dd told her she can open her presents on Christmas morning, that morning my dd woke up to sounds of tearing paper. She got up and found the little princess opening up all the presents and not just hers.

She took that info literally. LOL

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
Christmas came early for one of our renters
(and therefore us, too). The new president of
our Community Association called and asked
how much our renter was in arrears, including
electric. She handed me a check today from
a family about 75 miles away, which would
cover their arrears plus part of their electric
bill. The check was deposited into the regular
Comm. Assoc. account, and they will cut a
check for the entire amount to us! We've
been carrying them since early July, when
he had to have a pace maker installed, and
he's been working on and off since then. I
got her a job at the local gas station/corner
store, but the pay is minimum wage. This
gift will let them start over in January.
Another group (17 miles away) asked me
what sizes the two girls wear, and their
favorite colors. They met me at the gas
station, and there are two large bags of
wrapped gifts for each girl. I'll deliver
them Christmas Eve.
It's amazing how many wonderful, caring
people there are out there!
