My world is encased in ice on this wonderful day. I can hear the trees cracking from the ice. Thankfully we have power now. House never became cold last night.
Good Morning all!

Stopped raining here and looks like it might be a nice day. It's my mom's birthday so we'll celebrate this afternoon, go to church, then out to dinner. I got out of cooking this Christmas! Yay for me!
I wrapped up yesterday’s cooking at about 3 am. But, totally worth it. I sent my sister pictures and she told me how excited she is because she hasn’t eaten a meatball in over a year.
A couple smaller dishes to work on today. But starting my day at the grocery. I ran out of garlic. Whoops.
IKWTDS, glad the power is back on. If it's going to be a winter wonderland, Christmas is the best time for it.
All that cooking I'm reading about has made me hungry and wore me out.
Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!
Went to church this morning. The little kids were so cute. I think I finally found Christmas this year.
After lunch I'm taking a nap. I need one.

LGS ~
Could you share the recipe for Buffalo
Chicken Dip? I'm going to need a lot
of new recipes for this year's Chili Cook-
Off - expecting about twice as many
cooks as in previous years.

I second this.

1.5 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded (I use the instant pot) 1 package (2 cups) of shredded cheddar cheese 16 oz of cream cheese 8 oz of ranch dressing (I use creamy italian) Buffalo sauce to taste (I have been using Sweet Baby Ray's buffalo sauce)
We like to cook the chicken in advance. Once that is done, just throw everything into the Crock-Pot, and stir occasionally until it is warm and melted. You can also use a shredded rotisserie chicken or canned chicken, if that is your preference.
Serve with tortilla chips and/or carrot and celery sticks.
DH drizzles with blue cheese dressing or chunks of blue cheese.
Edited to add that this easily doubles or triples

Pretty sure G and I have pneumonia. I'm not kidding. I've been in bed most the day and he's currently on the floor, trying to catch his breath. Booo....

I'm sorry to hear this. Seems everyone is sick.
Caitlyn was up all last night throwing up and diarrhea. She was finally able to eat some fries about an hour ago.
Aaron had a high fever for 3 nights this week.
And now I feel like my head is about to explode and my nose is running like faucet.
Have ya'll tried a steamy shower? Breathing exercises help, too. They are easy. Breathe in a count of 5, then exhale slow and steady as long as you can. It helps squeeze the mucus out.
I really hope ya'll feel better fast.

(((Ohfour))) Please let us know you and G are okay! Pneumonia or even a bad case of bronchitis, isn't anything to mess with. Perhaps a call to the doc or trip to ER is in order? I hope you both are feeling better.
Holy crap, it is sooooooooo windy. It is roaring out there. It literally woke me and here I am. Just as well. It's CHRISTMAS and there's a dusting of snow on the ground and flurries expected today. It's 30* with a real feel of 15 thanks to wind chills with gusts over 45 mph.
The kids are coming today so I need to get the apple and pumpkin pies made this morning and get the sides for dinner going after that.
I hope everyone here has the most fabulous Christmas spent with loved ones! Relax and enjoy!
