I'm feeling unmotivated and lazy this morning. Did run out to my son and dil's place to bring them a humidifier u for the grandson, he had a hard time last night :(. His mommy is taking him to the doctor. I hate it when little ones get sick. Dd and family are now back home and the house is super quiet. It was a great Christmas!
Super cold here too, and I'm enjoying a cup of coffee before I begin taking down decorations.
I had a 3 hour lunch with my friends. They are actually work friends from my previous job. And now we are just friends. Both are much younger than me by decades. Neither work for the old company anymore. Blown away by their thank yous to me for mentoring them. I didn't know I had such an impact. Love those girls.
We had such a nice time. I had fried oysters with a spicy sauce. So yummy.

Brought DGS back with me today. He loves staying with us. His dad said little man was so excited to be going to Papa and Grandmas. Not that he has fun or gets spoiled or anything. ;)
Yesterday and today were our warm days. Made it to 11 degrees today. Tomorrow we drop into the deep freeze until Tuesday. Monday morning the forecast is for -24. We are not going out on New Years Eve. What we have on hand for drinks will be just fine.
Besides, by 10:00, we will all be snoring.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
We're waiting for SS to be dropped off, and then he's only here for a couple of days until he goes back to his mom's.
But, all his Christmas presents are still here just waiting to be opened!

I have had one sh!tty day. I was supposed to have a half day of vacation today. I left 2 hours late because while I was doing the last simple task for the day, I discovered a BIG problem. So I had to sort it out. It so frustrates me. This was a careless mistake that shouldn't have happened. And I can see where this mistake was ignored for at least a week. So I could have been fixing it Tuesday instead of at the last minutes.
my sister and her husband decided they were taking nephew and visiting an old friend for the evening. So the one night we have to just spend time together, they leave. I'm also doing all the cooking for tomorrow. Even though I was told I had to let my sister help and she was bringing pies.....she forgot the pies and now isn't here to help.
Oh, and I just spent an hour constantly stirring my cream of mushroom soup so it would thicken. And burned the hell out of my hand in the process.

Got all the decorations down and put away except the tree. DG, I'm sure the meal will be fine and sometimes it's easier to do it yourself then have someone help you.
