We just had 3 hours of freezing rain and now it is snowing. Huge flakes. The roads are a mess. Bridges are closed due to ice. Problem is, it doesn't snow here. No plows. No salt trucks. Nada. We have a lot of people stranded because they are on the wrong side of the closed bridges.

I would LOVE for it to snow! But it just bitter cold. It was 11 degrees when I got up this morning...

Still snowing. Coming down really good. We went outside and had a snowball fight with some kids down the block. I left my good gloves in the car and it is frozen shut. I wore some cutesy mittens and my poor hands are frozen.
Of course one side freezes while the other is only slightly warm.
Our heat unit has ice on it. The condensation has frozen. It's just a little, and it's still putting out heat.
Ya'll can keep your snow and ice.

If this happens again to you, put latex or such gloves over the mittens.

My Christmas decorations are all boxed up, and sitting in the corner of the dining room. Just waiting for Mere to dive into the hall closet and put them away.

Just picked up a girl DS goes to school with, somewhat friends. Both her parents work and can't work from home, mom is a health care aid at the local assisted living facility, dad drives trucks - think plows. I picked the girl up just now. She helped me make up the spare bedroom. My guess is she has never had such a large bed and room to her self. She is loving it. Sonny is with her now. I picked her up tonight rather than tomorrow since I hate driving in the snow. Love this girl.

If your car doesn't have a garage or carport,
wrap your side view mirrors with plastic wrap,
several layers, and use a small amount of
duct tape to secure it.
Also stretch plastic wrap over your front and
rear windshields. This is a two person job.
Do the bottom of the windshield first, and
overlap the next layer, like shingles or
siding. Secure the wrap with duct tape.
When you come out in the morning, and are
greeted with ice/snow all over your car, and
your neighbors are fighting with ice scrapers
and brooms, you will blithely lift off the plastic
wrap and have perfectly clear windows and
mirrors. Just be sure to remove the snow/ice
from the roof of your vehicle first!
