What a freakin' joke she is. She KNEW about the Hollywood sex abuse and did NOTHING about it and makes such a wonderful (barf) speech. Yeah, right. The hypocrite.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
Road was finally treated around 1 PM. A lot of our neighbors water main lines are breaking. Apparently Pex lines erode from chlorine after time. Anyway, we're having a new one replaced and re-routed before ours breaks as well.
Chattanooga had a lot of mains to break during the freeze. The pipes were not freezing and breaking. The ground was freezing and crushing the pipes.

Oprah is a nightmare. She's a great talk show host, but not much else.
I couldn't agree more! Except, I don't even think she's a good talk show host. I liked her show when she first hit the air waves but within a year or two, I saw it for what it was, and her as well. Stopped watching decades ago. I have no doubt she would consider making a bid for the presidency and God help us if this country votes to ease its brainwashed conscience in the same way the did Obama.

Hope there are no more broken pipes in your areas, Trudy and FNW.
Oh as temps warm and the ice turns to water in those pipes there will be more bursting revealed. There are a lot of pipes that have cracks from the sub zero temps and the thawing will reveal them.

Interesting day. A somewhat local company, think semi conductors, wants me to interview for an Ass't Comptroller position with the plan to become the Comptroller within 2 years. And they are growing. Plus located in NH so no income tax. I pay income tax to Mass and with the new tax law, this would be a fairly substantial raise for me. Not really looking to leave my company but this is a great opportunity.

I bailed on bell choir practice today. First
time ever. DH still has the creeping crud
that is going around - not the flu, not strep,
just a nasty virus. Made beef barley soup
for him (and me ); hopefully he'll be
better tomorrow. Three Rx plus OTC meds,
but he has slept most of the day, plus last
night. He swings between chills and regular
comfort. Hope this ends up soon. I really
don't like it when he is sick.
Our two renters are going to take our cans
out to the curb early tomorrow morning;
one of the kids brought the case of water
up from where I park the car, so I didn't
have to lift it. Good kid.
