It was the #1 downloaded Podcast recently. I don't know what I'm more shocked with, what he did, or how infamous he has become. Debra & I discussed that. His fame and how he would have felt about it.
Playing the "how long can I wait to go out and get back before the temps plummet and everything freezes" game.
Need to fill in meal holes.
FNW, I did not see the interview, neither of them. It has to be a bit surreal at some point.

Sometimes, I’m just too nice. We are supposed to get a winter storm late afternoon/evening. We were all told at 1, that we could leave anytime. I am still at work only because I told the receptionist if she felt she needed to leave, I would stay for the repair guy that’s here.
I’m not worried about getting home. It’s still 40* out, I’ve got time. It’s just the principle. She and her lack of responsibility annoy me. Silly me for giving her the chance to step up for once.

Lol. I finally left a bit before 4. And I had no trouble getting home, it was still above freezing and just raining. It is now snowing and cold outside. It's dropped over 30* today. I am currently making potato soup

Won't work. This isn't the first time she's pulled something like this. And I know it won't be the last. Sigh.
It was 60 degrees at 4:30 today. It's 27 now, and spitting snow.

It was 59* on my way home tonight at 10:30. It was drizzling but now it is pouring buckets and windy. I don't think we're going to get the freezing rain and snow until after sunrise. I'll be in for the weekend. Not planning on going anywhere. I'm hibernating.
I put the china in it today. BUT, I need to get a couple of bowl stands, and finalize just a couple of things. I was able to fit 2 full sets of china with serving pieces, plus crystal, plus my some of my Butterfly Meadow collection. And it does not look crammed - it all fits nicely.

I LOVE this cabinet. It took a leap of faith to order it b/c none of the furniture stores around had it. I really wanted to see it in person. But, it is better than I expected. And the lights are 3 way touch lights - you touch the hinge in the upper right corner to turn the lights on and off.

I'm glad someone does. I HATE the flooring. You can't really see it in the picture, but it's very distressed - there are actually holes in my floor. And that level of distressing just doesn't match the level of formality of the rest of the house - wainscoting, coffered ceilings, granite countertops, etc.

But, if I remember correctly, LL has a couple of cats. And, a dog.
I don't know if this plan would work, given the fur babies.

To keep the kitties off the tulle and lights,
twine some pieces of orange rind into the
ribbon. Cats hate the scent of orange. If
orange is too strong for you, try tangerines
or Halo Cuties rind.
Not sure what to do to keep the doggie out
of the lights.
Oooopps - yes I do!
Mix up a batch of powdered alum and plain
water. Using a sponge, wipe down the wires
of the lights (while they are turned off). Let
it dry. If the doggie tries to chew on the
lights, his saliva will reactivate the alum, and
give him one nasty taste of bad chewing!

Do you know how hard it is to properly clean all those stupid cracks and holes and crevices? Why anyone would purposely design a wood floor like this is beyond me.
