No school today for boys. Teacher workday or something. I'm working from home. Thinking about running to car wash later and see if they can fend for themselves for an hour. Thoughts? They are 9. There are no rules here but the county issues "recommendations." They say 8-10 year olds can be left alone for no more than 1 1/2 hours.
I know we've had this discussion before, but I couldn't find it.
I wasn't gone much more than 30 minutes and took #2 with me. I didn't trust them alone together for fear they'd fight, but he told me he would stay on a different floor from him if he had stayed home.
It's a good starter. Heck. I use to worry about my kids fighting until I realized they each stayed in their rooms.
52 and nice here. Have the door cracked for fresh air.
Happy Friday!

Since there is no Saturday thread I guess I'll say hello here. It has been a while since I've posted. We were 70s kids & home alone a lot. In today's climate my parents would be in jail for neglect. We did fine by ourselves.
