You know what’s annoying? When you made something one time, years ago, but now can’t find the recipe. Back when I worked at the hospital, we would have pitch ins. I remember making spaghetti in the crockpot. It was super easy and really good. But I have no idea where I got the recipe. Online somewhere, but this was nearly 15 years ago. Sigh. I’m going to search my box of random print out recipes, fingers crossed.

no details yet on how it happened. I am guess either another vehicle cut the bus off or some medical emergency with the bus driver. Thankfully the kids were only shaken up.

Wow, IKWTDS, so glad no one was hurt! How scary for the kids, the driver and the parents! A bus accident was always one of my biggest fears when our kids road the bus full time.
Had a very busy weekend. Stayed at DS's all weekend. Attended my first "diaper keg". Oh, the fun we had!
Tried to visit my youngest sister yesterday, didn't work out. She is moving to Des Moines as soon as they sell their current home. They have lived in this home for three years and every single time I tried to get to her house, she had other plans. I'm to the point of being pissed. I guess there has to be one of those sisters in every family.. :(
Spent today recovering from the weekend.
Hope you all have a great week!

School buses are designed to be safer than most realize.
The seats are closer together, the backs higher, and we'll padded. That's why most accidents involving buses don't have serious injuries.
Unless the bus turns over or something from outside enters the bus, mostly no one gets hurt bad.

So glad the kids and driver wasn’t hurt! I’m glad it wasn’t your daughters bus ikwtd. Czech, your sister is the one missing out of a nice visit with a awesome sister.
So the newest details coming out is a student became unruly and the bus driver was doing a 3 PT turn in a parking lot to drive back to the school to have the child taken off the bus, as they are instructed to do. No charges or fines being levied against the driver.

Hope the parents of the unruly kid are brought in to answer for their child's bad behavior. Gah!!!

I've always wondered why school buses aren't
equipped with seat belts for all the kids. And I
know that the "tall" seats don't necessarily
prevent facial injuries in a sudden stop.
One of our local charter bus companies has
seat belts at ALL the seats - we LOVE this bus
company ~ and use them even if their quote
for the trip is more expensive than other bus
companies.
I never understood the no seat belt thing on buses either. The big school bus the preschool owned had a 5 pt system for the little ones and seatbelts with shoulder harnesses for bigger kids. It is possible to equip buses with them.
