The sun finally came out today! Woohoo! I've been trying to get my shelving installed. I wanted to move one that the complex had already installed but I'm tired of fighting with trying to get the bracket in the slotted strip, so, I'm throwing them and the shelving in the dumpster. I'll install some solid wood shelving in it's place. It'll be much sturdier than the wire ones.

I'm waiting for the pest control people to show up. Apparently, the complex has them come periodically to spray. Today's the day. They gave a two-hour window of time to come. Mine is between 9 and 11. That's good since I have to work this afternoon.

That's it for me. Hope everyone is feeling good, or at least better. Have a great day!

Drab and chilly here.

Lowes called. My new dishwasher will be installed tomorrow!

Yeehaw!! (In the nick of time. I have a terrible case of dry cracked hands.)

Hope everyone is doing okay today!

Yay for roses Trudy.

Wayne got my flowers early, so I've had them since Saturday.smile

I don’t think I’m getting anything until my husband comes back from his trip, there isn’t any time.

It’s ok Trudy, on his yearly golf trip he always brings back jewelry for me as a thank you gift for letting him go golfing in Florida with his friends so I’m good.

I got a miniature rose bush on Friday. DH gave me one last year, too. He thought we could start a rose garden. It's sweet.

Yesterday Shari's Berries arrived. Yum! Tomorrow we'll go to dinner at the club. It will be our 15th VD together.

Fort Worth Mom ~
For dry, cracked hands, try the new
Gold Bond Diabetic hand cream. It
is absolutely AWESOME! Goes on
silky smooth, and gets completely
absorbed - no grease to deal with
later.

At last you found a place to get them so I don’t have to ship them from Ohio

I have the start of a monster headache. I have my overhead light off, one of the great things about having a window. Hopefully helps keep it at bay.

I went all the way over to Krispy Kreme to get the kids a donut 3 pack for Valentines.

They were out. How do you run out of your holiday special? The manager looked like he might hit puberty this year.

Anyway, hope everyone is well, or getting better.

We need sunshine, here.

Happy Tuesday!

I might add before you put on the lotion put some soft soap on your hands then about a teaspoon of sugar and then scrub your hands then rinse and add the lotion.  The sugar helps exfoliate the dry skin.

I have some soft soap that has sugar in it, Lindley.

I need to use it more often.

Thanks for the tip.smile

I use sugar and olive oil.

Sometimes, I'll just use the olive oil, let it soak in a bit.

You know what else works?

Chapstick is good for small areas.

Utter cream is the best stuff ever.

Pay It Forward !

OMG! I was just the recipient of
a most generous gift. Because I
rely on the electric buggies to do
my shopping, I've been very happy
when the person in front of me turns
and asks if they can help me unload
my groceries. A lovely lady, perhaps
ten years younger than I, asked if
she could help me. I said yes, and
that that is one of the reasons I love
south Texas. She then floored me
by asking if she could pay for my
groceries! I bet my jaw bounced a
couple of times as it hit the floor!

After sputtering a few seconds, I
nodded a couple of times before I
found my voice to say "yes, thank
you!" I have no idea who she is,
I've never seen her before. And
the only thing she said was to
"please pay it forward when you
can."

The Gold Bond Healing works pretty good too.  DH got me the Diabetic at Walmart.

That's awesome Momala! I always unload for people in the motorized cart when they are behind me. It's so simple yet means so much.
