So my usual grocery store has not had bananas in stock for about a month that I have noticed. DD tells me that it is due to the GMO seedless ones. I don't know the root cause. I did go to Sam's this past w/e and found some. Had to buy three pounds of organic ones. I am sure most will end up in my freezer since we can't possible eat them all before they are too ripe. No waste since we use the ones I freeze for smoothies.
Have you all noticed the lack of bananas?

No problem here. Most of our bananas come from Taiwan or Ecuador.... Not as popular as they once were so you can always see a lot of bananas on the "damaged, etc." vegetable cart at low prices. I would send you some, but do not think it is practical....
H-E-B (our local mega-chair) has not
only regular (Dole) bananas, but also
mini bananas!
To keep your bananas fresh longer,
keep them together in their bunch,
and wrap the end in plastic wrap.
They will stay fresh for several days
longer than you might expect.
