Last day in the office this week. Hopefully only half day. Big storm moving in tomorrow night. Rain, heavy winds, snow, astronomical high tides. Good times.

Stay safe, IKWTDS! I just read about that upcoming storm on accuweather. Let's hope it's not as bad as predicted.
Not much going on for me today. The sun is out and a high of mid 50s for the day. I'm off work today and need to run to Lowe's for some wood to make shelving. Other than that, a lazy day for me.
It's rained constantly since around 2am. There is areas of flooding around, now.
I'm contemplating going and getting a pain shot.
And a school teacher from our city Schools has been arrested for barricading himself in a classroom with a gun. The high school was evacuated and no one has been injured.
2 students in the neighboring county have been arrested, one for drugs, the other for threatening to shoot up the school, and there was a gun found in his car.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's someone opposed to arming teachers.
The news just reported he is a social studies teacher, he carried it in in a laptop bag, and the gun was a snub nose .38.
He is in custody.

Here, it isnt allowed. One of his charges, as reported on the news, is bringing a firearm onto school property.

Two middle school students in the next
town over were arrested for threatening
to bring a gun to school and killing a
teacher. The initial report to the sheriff
came from a student's mother, whose
child informed her of the threat.
The next town over (in the opposite
direction) also had a high schooler make
a threat against that school just before
Christmas - he was suspended.
At least these schools, and the sheriff's
office, are taking these threats seriously,
even if they were made in jest. And the
parents were talking with their children,
and LISTENING.
I'm glad I'm not raising children in this
day and age.
