Took Monster out and all the birds are singing. All of them. It sounds like a million birds are in our trees.
Rain has stopped for now. If we get anymore we'll have to catch it in our pockets. The ground is completely saturated.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
Happy Thursday!

I'm sitting in the ER. On my day off. DD's grandma and great granddaddy got here for a visit last night. Granddaddy isn't feeling well. Went to doc in a box and got sent here. Can't take any chances at 102 years old.

If ya'll get as much snow as we are getting rain, ya'll are in deep trouble.
It started raining again and still coming down.

SB ~
Will he be able to stay with you for a
couple of days when he comes home
from the hospital? It takes a while
to recover from being in the hospital.
SB, at his age, I'm sure it's more precaution than anything wrong. Glad you have a friend there.
I do not envy any of y'all getting snow.
We've had snow in March. Had a blizzard in March. We've had snow in April.
I remember a Spring break in 87 or 88, we left school on Friday, it was near 90 and on Monday it was 30 and a foot of snow on the ground.

Came in like a lion over here, so expect it to go out like a lamb if the old adage holds true. Heavy rains, tornados, blizzards in the north, etc. We are fine here; seem to have missed it all.....

For those who have been warned about
possible loss of electricity - make SURE
you have multiple gallons of good water.
If you run out of candles, you can make
your own light by taking a can of Crisco,
inserting a wick of kitchen twine, mash
it around in the Crisco, then put a
(saturated) end up through a slit in
the lid. A can of Crisco will last for
several days, if used only during the
evenings.
When you know/anticipate an electrical
outage, fill your freezer with multiple
bottles of water. A full freezer will last
for several days (if you don't open the
door), and you will still be able to use
the contents. The fuller the freezer,
the longer it will last.
As a measure to see if your freezer has
lost power, defrosted, and then frozen
again, try this. Fill a water bottle half
way. Freeze it on its side. After it is
frozen, stand it upright. When you
suspect a long power outage, look at
the frozen water bottle. If the ice is
still on one side of the now upright
bottle - all is good. If the ice is in the
bottom half of the upright bottle, you
need to look at the rest of your frozen
foods. This means that the freezer has
defrosted (allowing all the previously
frozen water to settle at the bottom of
the bottle), and then re-frozen.

There. Fixed that for you
