We are getting ready to head to a rugged maniac race. I think I've lost my mind. 5k race. 25 obstacles. In the mud. We are doing it with our gym. It's a group thing, no one left behind. Lots of hands to help with the hard obstacles. My biggest worry is the warped wall. At the end everyone gets hosed off by fire hoses. Maybe cute firemen? From what the event veterans are saying I will be digging mud out of places for days, lol. I think I'm getting too old for this stuff.

My a strawberry and vanilla pudding/cream trifle. came out good except I didn't have a narrow glass bowl so it's is a wider bowl. It would look better in a narrow bowl. Oh well, taste is the same.

Hope all goes well Ikwtd, it sounds delicious! Overslept and woke up to the 3 year old setting out strawberries on a placemat for her breakfast (Mimi fell) fixed the girls bacon and eggs plus strawberries
Happy St. Patrick's day to you all! I'm part Irish and I always forget to wear green. We took the girls to a birthday party today and neither one of us thought to have them wear something green.

First half of our two-day chili cook-off is
done! Instead of scrambling for our
minimum of 18 cooks to be sanctioned,
we had 23 cooks!!!!! Marvelous time
had by all.
Tonight, pot luck dinner, then repeat
everything tomorrow. Hope we get
enough cooks again - we're competing
against another cook-off - which is an
automatic qualifier for Terlingua (the
world cook-off). I see a long hot soak
in epsom salts in my immediate
future.
Ok. So I bleached my hair. I wanted platinum. It ain't platinum.
I'll probably just cut it all off in a day or three.

The race was a blast. I'm not sure I will ever come clean. I have a few bruises but it's all good. I did fall on my hip pretty hard. DD pulled me a little too hard off the last obstacle. I wasn't expecting it and slid off too fast and hit the ground pretty hard on my hip. Ouch!

I will live. Some of those obstacles were really hard and scary. We were lucky enough to have our trainers at our side the whole time.
DD lost a shoe in the mud about half way through, lol. That mud was brutal!

Here in south Texas, San Antonio dyes the
River Walk a bright green (non-toxic, pure
vegetable green). It will be back to its pure
river green tomorrow.

Happy belated St Patrick’s day! I’m alive. I just had a long nap lol we made rather merry. We had about 20 people I The house at one point. We had Corned beef and cabbage Bangers and mash with Smithwicks gravy Smoked lamb Smoked salmon Assorted sides , charcuterie and cheese And a shamrock cake We had a keg of Smithwicks The guys are working on the keg today hehe We had a fabulous time for my 2nd Christmas 😀
